Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. It would have been lovely to have English Black Tea, but then we could have brought that with us!
It was a really great location for our needs - Family wedding so fitted in between family home, wedding venue and reception venue with great public transport nearby for all guests.

We received a voucher for opting out of the cleaning service but we waited for ever to get a drink for them and in the end gave up and went downtown to get a drink at Brusseler Platz, which was great. The staff seem all students with little experience. It would be better to have at least one senior person in the bar to look after the guests. And it was a but noisy at night, with people smoking? outside in front of the hotel all night.
great location, very close to Alt Stadt, but also to Belgischer Viertel and many terraces and bars. Nice atmosphere and own style, different from the big brands. We had a problem with the shower, which was fixed promptly and adequately. Beds, shower and chair were all excellent. They charge only 5 euro extra to charge the car.

The lack of food- better snacks than potato chips would be nice. The shower is basically a glass cube in the middle of the room which I did not like.
The breakfast was expensive so I did not buy it. I was told there was coffee on two floors in the Galley so I just planned on having that but neither Galley had coffee so I went to Starbucks. The room is large and bright and the bed was comfortable. The parking garage was so convenient and the bar area very nice ambiance.

I didn't like that it's impossible to open the window to get fresh air. And then the air conditioning was living its own life...
The locality is great, near metro and bus stops. Still by walking distance to the centre. Staff is very friendly, kind and helpful. Breakfast is very nice, tasty and everybody finds what he/she likes. Rooms design is unusual but lovely. At arrival you get free an amazing chocolate

Breakfast was amazing, with fresh & tasty products from local providers. The location is exactly what I was looking for: close to downtown, with variety of places to drink, eat, take coffee, yet the rooms were quiet for a restful stay. No face/ wash towels for the shower. AC was also not powerful enough to cool the room. We hovered around 25°C in the room while sleeping.
Check in and out was simple. Clean rooms and great soap provided by the hotel. Location was close to the city centre and places I wanted to see.

Breakfast is continental, so no cooked sausage/bacon etc, but plenty of bread rolls, cheese and ham as well as boiled eggs. Coffee was pre-made and in a dispenser, not quite my taste but was ok. No early check in available as it is an automated system so if you are there early you have to wait in the lobby area, but that is quite comfortable.
Staff are amazing and the location is perfect for the centre of town as well as for the Gewoelbe club that is a 10 minute walk away. There is a supoermarket next door for easy access to snacks and water/drinks and the nearest Ubanh station is less than a minute away.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Ruby Ella Köln. The room was impeccably clean and peaceful, creating a wonderful ambiance throughout my stay. I appreciated the innovative approach of offering drink tokens instead of daily room cleaning. The staff was exceptional, with Atanas standing out for his professionalism and kindness. Additionally, the hotel's own-brand soap, shampoo, and amenities were delightful, boasting a pleasant fragrance. If I were to suggest areas for improvement, it would be the breakfast selection and some room amenities. While the 'local hero' choices were a nice touch, I would have liked to see a broader range of traditional German options. As for the room, I would have appreciated a hair dryer with a diffuser for my curly hair, a Bluetooth radio for entertainment, and a more generous supply of towels – two small towels felt insufficient. Additionally, having a face cloth would have been a welcomed addition.
