I took my trip alone for four days, getting the smallest possible room and getting it as a deal and it nearly cost me my months rent. 110 for one day is a little much when u consider the room is at its most enjoyable when you’re alone. It had practically no room on the tables for my makeup let alone anything else and i can’t imagine having two people and all their belongings in a nest room. I knew what i was getting into by looking at the pictures and the shower situation didn’t bother me whatsoever, but the amount of room to store keys, pamphlets, books, creams, toothbrushes etc. just generally stuff you collect throughout the trip, was something i couldn’t anticipate by looking at pictures and probably others wont either. It was a minor inconvenience to me, but might be more than that to someone else. Also i couldn’t figure out how to close the overhead lights while still using the bedside lights to read in the evening but that might just be my bad

I was on the fourth floor, facing the water so my room was fairly quiet. The staff was always really nice and helpful and the room i stayed in was clean with a good view.

The room doors close loosely. When the door of the neighbouring room is slammed, it shakes other doors, and feels like someone is trying to break into your room. It is not pleasant to wake up to this at night (several times). Your bank card will be charged with the full cost of your stay before arrival, at 8:00 a.m. on the first day. This is different from the information given by booking.com, which only informs about the price of one night. This may be inconvenient if the card used for the booking and for the actual payment are different.

Good location, close to public transportation. Spacious room, and good breakfast (except the terrible tasting coffee...) with a variety of choices. Guests may opt for no room cleaning during their stay, which is a nice environmental friendly option.

Breakfast was €24 per person, which is exorbitant. However, there is a bakery 100m down the street. The design of the shower does not provide adequate privacy.

We arrived off an early flight, and our room was ready. Staff were very helpful checking in. There are several restaurants within a couple of minutes walk of the hotel, and the U-Bahn and S-Bahn are within 5 minutes walk of the hotel. The main sights of the old town are only 10-15 minutes walk of the hotel. The rooms were spotlessly clean, albeit on the small side.

Organisation of interior orientation, including elevator level description - many people were confused on how to find lobby/ground floor... delaying reaching rooms/exit considerably every time I used it. One of two elevators broke for more than 3 days on top of this, and there was construction noise.

Well appointed, light flooded room in tune with Hamburg's maritime vibe and lively, comfortable atmosphere in the lounge/lobby area.

Never enough milk in the gallery for all the rooms in the hall. I asked staff in reception twice but they said they didn't have any.

The whole bathroom got clogged, but it got sorted out asap and we got another, even nicer room so overall there’s nothing that we wouldn’t like.

The view from the rooms was stunning, and the localisation was just perfect. Rooms were quite big, well-decorated and cozy, the staff really helpful! It was our second stay here, this time leisure and not business, so we could enjoy ourselves around the hotel/bar more. Great variety of drinks at the bar!

The annoying part was the duvets that were 2 small sized instead of a larger duvet we didn’t see the point of it, plus the pillows omg awful so uncomfortable even after asking for softer pillows still not good! Breakfast I wouldn’t recommend to taking this option €20.00 per person per day and not much of options not worth it! Staff pay more attention to your customers rather than ignoring them and talking to your colleagues!!!!

The location is ok but only if you like a high end shopping. Otherwise, it’s further away from the going out area.

We had a huge and bright room. High ceilings, almost a cottage style. With many mirrors, it looked even bigger. A nice idea of swapping the daily cleaning for a free drink at the bar. Nice Lounge/bar/reception area.

The size of the room and the plain glass shower which was open to the room ...very strange!

We were disappointed with the size of the room. It was smaller than expected. Everything else was really very acceptable. The quietness of the hotel, its situation, cleanliness and friendliness of the Staff was perfect. The Hotel itself was very busy but this did not translate into any excessive noise at night for which we were very grateful, having some bad experiences in other hotels. It is extremely well served for UBhan stations and good, reasonably priced restaurants.
