Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Balcony and rest of the building a little run down. Cleaning staff just entered my flat on the last day at 10.30 to change the sheets, while I was still in my nightgown and sleeping. They were also very persistent that they want to change the sheets now. Since check out was at 12 I was very irritated of having some men standing in the flat all of a sudden.
I actually got it for a good price considering I was travelling alone. Flat is fully equipped with small kitchen, tea, cleaning equipment coffee. Towels shower gel also available. There was some confusion about the whereabouts of my key. The staff on the phone was super nice and helped quickly.

The Studio is well located, not so far away from the train station by bus. Inside it has everything: fridge, microwave, kitchen

the list of things I don't like is very long. noisy fridge, noisy staircase that you hear right behind your head when you sleep. I could still stand it... but plastic, and broken bedding was a disaster. I could go on, but I don't think this place deserves to waste my energy. this place is worth 30€...

Just the lights outside and cleanliness
Location was a bit out of main town and dark alley to walk into with no light every evening but room size and kitchen were good, the linens were very old and bed pad stained and the floor was very dusty- a fan would also be helpful as it seemed humid in room. There is a close is stop but at night still a bit nervous walking into dark corridor alone.

Broken television. Broken hairdryer. Loud/broken bathroom fan. No coffee. Dirty mattress protector and one dirty pillow, but didn’t know about this till I removed the bedding upon leaving. Only one hand towel. Location was difficult walking distance with heavy luggage. Misleading directions from HBF.
Reasonable amount of room. Secure. Maintenance delivered another hairdryer upon request.

The room was right on the ground floor of a Main Street. It was so loud that the we could hear everything happening on the street that we could barely sleep. In addition the neighbours who I don’t know if they belonged to the hotel or not just seemed crazy yelling all night until 4 in the morning. Definitely would not recommend.

The room was not clean, the bed sheets weren’t changed, so I needed to buy new ones to be able to sleep good as the sheets were smelling very bad. The whole rooms smelled bad, so needed to buy some air refreshers. The entrance to the room was not working fine, so needed to spend lot of time and calling (in roaming) to the services to solve the issue and they weren’t very helpful. So really bad experience.

We could not access the flat because they key for the main entrance was inside the room. So we were obliged to pay a hotel (holiday INN) and wait the next day to find out how to access the building. Luckily, one lady who was exiting the building allowed us to come inside. After accessing the room, we found the key on the table. In addition, the internet access code didn't work and the customer service number was not responding during the night. The room was very hot, not a good place for summer.

the lamp over the food tile didn't work
I felt myself comfortable and secure. The location was closed to my work place, so I could walk to the city centre. I liked appartment and if I ever be back I'll check this point first.

For 5 nights we got 2 towels which were never changed. Landlord should either have a couple of towels stored in the closet or bring new ones for 2+ night stays. No AC on the top floor, it was really hot during the day and night. It was very complicated to find the keys to the apartment, we were searching for them for 45min while being exhausted after our flight.
Close to the center, 10min walk. Neighborhood was nice with the bakery and grocery shop right across. Balcony was nice.
