Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We didn’t like the beds, instead of one double bed we had two single beds joined, with a wooden border in etween that wasn’t that comfy

Nothing it was all good
Fun and funky room. Plenty of space for our family of four. Nice and quiet. Near enough to the metro and the bus goes from right outside.Lots of great cafes nearby. Great breakfast.

We loved the reception / breakfast area with a super nice atmosphere, colors, interior! The people working there were all so friendly and flexible 😀 Everything was clean and the rooms very spacious.

The bed was not that comfortable due to the pillows and wooden edges.
The hotel is in a great location, near cool restaurants and bars. The bathroom was large. Staff were helpful and communicative. There was a large bar in the hotel as well.

The shower curtain was inefficient and allowed water onto the floor. There were no English language channels on the TV.

Lack of desk in the room for people who needs to work. Also I did not like to have just the ceiling shower option

For us we could have used extra pillows but we never asked... Felt really hot with the bedding and with no sheet only option we removed the duvet inner and that worked!
The clever quirky decor. Loved the large and functional bathroom - a great shower. Very friendly helpful staff

The hotel has a very nice vibe, the room was big and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home from the beginning. But was surprised us the most was the breakfast: very good price for a huge variety of products (the also have vegan options) We were sad that we could stay only 1 night and will be back for sure!

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Gave us an upgrade - room with a nice city view and Nintendo! The location was good. The person at the reception was very kind and gave us many recommendations as it was our first time in Hamburg. Breakfast was also nice and the we loved the fact that we could make warm waffles in the morning.

Because Superbude is positioned as a hostel, it is not really a complaint but I missed having a kettle in the room to avoid going four floors down to get a glass of water or a tea.
Superbude is a very quirky hotel on the edge of St Pauli - a perfect location if one wants to have easy access to the plethora of great restaurants on that district but stay in a place that is calm and quiet. The hotel decor is very unusual and inspiring - the spirit of alternative and punk is everywhere translated into comfortable and memorable place. Rooms are large, beds are comfortable, the staff is extremely nice and helpful and breakfasts will keep you going all day.
