Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The breakfast was worse than we remembered from the previous stays and we didn't really like the bed.
This was our second visit here and our 4th niu visit in general, so we knew what to expect. Good location, easy check-in, friendly staff, small, clean, quiet rooms. Also we found a good deal so the reservation was the same price as 3 years ago.

They gave us two separate beds instead of one big bed.
The place is very quiet and clean. Surroundings of the hotel are safe and cool - we had a great view.

Breakfast is ok, but the pancake machine didn't work, I think the staff was just lazy to tern it on and clean later. and there were no fried eggs

It's stil advartised as Holiday inn. But it's actually branded as "the niu", which is misleading. And not same quality as Holiday inn. One of two lifts was broken all four days of our stay. Shower curtain in our room was missing. Breakfast very monotonous. Coffee machine kept running out of milk. Sofa bed was quite uncomfortable.
Easy no fuss check in. Fuzbal table in the lobby. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Room for 3 people is very small, making moving around not easy. There is no fridge in the room.
We really enjoyed our stay in The Niu Flash. Hotel is very well located, close to city center, however still in zone free of parking fee. Good breakfasts, very clean.

There is no complimentary water- coffee machine or any toiletries. No fridge Electric was cutting off all the time

- doors closing. Then somebody left the room or specially cleaning staff walking in and out their staff room, banged the doors, everything were shaking in the room, including the TV 😅 - shower curtains was out of order - the shower drainage was not working properly

Room cleaning was not done properly, only changed the towel and folded blankets, no cleaning was done in the room or bathroom, could still feel the wet bathroom with hair all over. Also the shower gel was finished and was not replaced during room cleaning, and when i specifically asked reception to refil it they did not bother to put it in its holder and just left it in the bathroom, i had to unpack it and try to fit it in the holder which did not work as it was a complicated process.
Bluetooth speakers in the room and bath :)

The rooms were cold, even thought we were trying to increase the temperature in the display, at the wall. (ok, is not a tragedy, just an observation). The cleaning service was missing during two nights. I was in charge to make my bed and clean the toilette. Maybe I did not understand your policy to save effort en cleaning service ( no service = 1 drink free) but nothing happened.
Super fast check in and check out! The staff, all of them very nice people with motivation to bring us help, to answer our questions and give us recomendations even if the language and interation were not easy. (german/english/spanish languages at same time) Nice place, basic in terms of facilities but enough for our weekend. No so far from public transport stops, this was really nice due to the context with the weather during the weekend.

There wasn't something I didn't like, it all was very well organized. The staff was friendly and helpful. I didn't have their breakfast, as it didn't serve what I wanted to eat, but saw plenty of other guests enjoying their meals.
Very cosy and petit, the bed was comfy. Located outside the busy commercial area, but more in an office area. I quite liked it because it was quiet and easily accessible by bus. I only stayed for the Berlin Marathon weekend, so was happy that I stayed in a quiet and chill hotel.

Location was sub-optimal being in an industrial area made travel to and from a bit longer. As well not having too much around for a longer stay. Also we weren’t informed that breakfast was included in our booking. A confirmation when checking in would be helpful.

Housekeeping was quite poor. There was still rubbish underneath the bed from a previous visitor. The room was not cleaned when it should. The soap bottle above the sink was empty. And there was not enough toilet paper. Remote checking in was rather annoying and only led to confusion at arrival at the hotel.
In general this hotel is good. Rooms are spacious. The breakfast is complete and nice.
