I did not like the school group who was on our floor the last night of our stay...some of them were screaming and running in the halls between 11 and 1:30 in the morning and banging on peoples doors...very upsetting when u have to get up early for a flight...but once the front desk was notified they handled it...thank you.

Helpful staff....I asked for an extra pillow and was able to get one.

Curtesy phone charger broken, water bottle filler station broken. Too big, too impersonal to be a good, well maintained, and enjoyable hostel. Institutional, linoleum, felt like an orphan in a boarding school. Really uncared for. Staff doesn’t want to be there

I think the place was decorated with trendy stickers and cool figurines, but for me, there are more important factors that contribute to a comfortable stay. All the doors were extremely squeaky, making it hard to sleep when people went in and out. To be honest, I can't imagine how people staying closer to the toilets and showers managed, as the fireproof door leading to them slammed very loudly. Overall, the place had the vibe of student accommodation in Russia (if you know, you know, if not, just Google a picture of a typical one, not from a fancy uni though). I wouldn’t say the place was dirty, but it wasn’t particularly clean either, and some fixtures in the showers and toilets could use renovation. I didn’t try the breakfast, but I passed by the table in the morning and would probably agree with other reviews that it’s overpriced.

This place was one of the cheapest options I could find for a weekend stay in Berlin. For that purpose, I’d say it was good enough. The location was convenient, being quite close to Checkpoint Charlie and the city center. The bed and pillow were very comfortable, so I woke up feeling refreshed and energetic, ready to explore the city the next day. There was also a plug and a bedside light, both of which worked well.

location isn't good, every major site/location i wanted to arrive to required 10+ min walk or a change of busses. the place is huge, and has only on laundry machine, I had to wait 20 minutes for a finished laundry to be taken out. the worst part was the last night, when a school trip was hosted in the hostel. around 200 teenagers who made noise all night, slammed doors, nocked on doors, ran and screamed. the hostel stated the minimum age is 18, so I should be deprived of sleep due to teens. that's why I asked for a refund.

The bed mattress was sagging, and although I had a one-person room, it was loud due to the hallways and the heating pipes. Breakfast didn't include any fruit or vegetables when I was there.

There are only 1 washer 1 dryer in the building so gotta be strategic when you wash you clothes. Also if you have claustrophobia using the elevator will be hard, it's an old old building elevator been there since the war probably. But the stairs are there.

The location was fantastic in walking distance to downtown area of Berlin. Pretty good food options near by that are great to get a quick bite to eat. The recreational area was really cool, pool table, foosball table, a little bar to grab drink and chill after day of seeing the sites. Its located inside an old church thats really cool, looks sick on the inside. Washing machines are located in the building great to have and well priced. Felt very safe there. Cleaning staff does a great job making sure the rooms stay clean.

I asked for an early check-in and was told they would try but not guaranteed, which is fair enough. However, after waiting and waiting and checking and re-checking I eventually checked in about an hour after the official check-in time, in a different room, as the cleaner had seemed to have disappeared! There was big water leak in the next room from mine which blocked the corridor and stank so was obviously a blocked toilet / drains issue. The last issue was that I was charged twice although to be fair they were quick to refund once I'd pointed it out when I got home.

some staff was rude, mostly were nice snd friendly. it was very noisy even though we stayed in a double room with a private toilet. would not recommend the double room with a private toilet here, the price is only a little less than an actual hotel, but the service is a hostel level. perhaps more suitable for solo travellers or someone who wants cheap stay.

I wouldn't say people are super friendly there, and there is a strong odor mold in some of the rooms, it destroyed my eyes man. I had to take eye drops for a week. Also no kitchen

On a short notice, I reserved a bed and got it. The lady attending me was most gracious. Other staff members were just as nice.
