Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Staff was so kind and it's all clean, the reception/bar is opened 24hours!! You can have coffee and all the breakfast you want for less than 10€

there was a school trip of teenage students and they all had rooms on the same floor as we did, they were noisy until after midnight so we could not sleep, we asked the staff for another room but they said there were no others available
the location was great, interesting old building next to a church, near restaurants and public transport

The mattress and blankets were super thin, the room wasn't ventilated. And the overall feeling of the space was murky.
The hostel is just 15 minutes walk from Checkpoint Charlie. The bar seems cool and the stuff was attentive.

No air conditioning definitely kind of stunk, but I understand the complexities of implementing it.
Just a very comfortable hostel which felt very spacious! Super kind staff as well, and a very nice bar outfitted with great drinks. Location was good too - close to multiple stations.

The room was 30 degrees at night, making it impossible to sleep. There was loud noise coming from the hallways all night, because of the heavy doors. There was also music and shouting coming from the courtyard until very late hours.
Property was clean and located centrally. The hostel was secure, with multiple checkpoints where you needed a card. The room was clean.

Please maintain the elevator, it sounds scary when moving. Also, considering the amount of your guests,one elevator is far from enough. Not surprisingly, the elevator broke at the day I'm leaving. I have to carry 20kg luggage from 5th floor to ground floor

The breakfast is not great in terms of quality.
The team was incredibly helpful and nice. I lost my AirPods in the hostel and they took them to the post office to send them back to my country. Besides that, the room was clean and what I was expecting for the price.

slightly over-priced extras (e.g. laundry-machine, breakfast) The dorm-beds could be numbered to avoid some confusion between guests (which did happen). Since the sheet were not changed every night the price could be lowered for days using the same sheet ). It is very strange that it costs more when booked on-line. It should be possible to see the room/dorm-bed before paying (which was denied upon my request). Some quiet shared area indoors (for reading etc) and non-smoking sitting area, for coffee/chattings outdoors by the door, would be helpful and appreciated.
Friendly, ; good access to the staff for questions around the clock (perhaps this could be reduced slightly though, and thus the price for extras could also be reduced); Good location Appeared no major problems around other guests.

The beds made so much noise when you moved and felt unstable , there was a great atmosphere and was hard to find
