Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

the place was clean, however, they start at 7 am to vacuum, which if it's a place of rest, they should do it later, in the same way, there were children screaming in the corridors and only one guy was friendly at the reception when I checked out, instead the check-in girls were very unfriendly and apathetic

I do not suggest you to book a single room, the price does not worth it (remember that there are not private bathroom and the building is quite old) The breakfast does not worth it too: it cost 9 euros, but the quality and variety are not so great. For a couple of euros more ou can book a real hotel room and enjoy better services (unfortunately there were not so much availability in the city when I booked).
The staff is really welcoming and the atmosphere in the building is generally very nice. The position is perfect: the U7 and S2 entrance are less then 10 minutes away.

Not too much I didn't like here. It made my stay in Berlin great.
Staff we're amazing and very happy to help me. Had to change my booking last minute and they were very helpful. It's a big place and very central to everything you need in Berlin.

The rest of the accomodation is very basic compared to other hostels, giving a school trip rather than holiday vibe. Considering this, it is quite expensive for a private room, although cheaper than another hostel we stayed at so this might just be Berlin prices
Good location for attractions such as the Jewish museum. The downstairs communal area is fun and there was a good atmosphere

The Snoring roommate who did not even apologize. The same snoring roomate who set 6 alarms and snored and snoozed in between alarms. Reported to reception by 2 people on Friday, 17.3. morning.

That I couldn't sleep for longer in the comfortable bed hahaha. I only had limited time in this hostel since I had to catch an early flight.
I find it cool that this used to be a church or castle or whatever it was, and the lobby even looked like a renovated church. Although I only slept for like 5 hours (due to time constraints), it was the most comfortable bed of any place I ever booked.

The location is good and the building itself is amazing, though pretty shabby. The breakfast cost €9 extra and was not especially good value (cold watery coffee and cardboard bread rolls with presliced cheese or ham. Not the usual german frustuck! P

when I checked-in, staff gave me a wrong key card room. I entered the room but there was no bed available, I had to asked to change the room myself. Also on the last night, I can not entered the room because it has something wrong about magnet in key card.

The shower base drainage is clogged, it floods easily.
The location is pretty strategic as it's at the city centre. Heater in the room is very strong.
