Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Great location - we went to an event in Tempodrom which is right across the street. Room and bathroom were clean. Breakfast was excellent value for money - good quality. Would stay again.

One table in shared room (6 people) is not enough to be used by everyone. In our case the group that was accommodated couple days before us "took over" the table and there was no space. But I think it's just a matter of not too order oriented colleagues.
Stuff was really friendly and took care of everything. Great location, near S-bahn and bigger shops. Nice design and cool vibe inside.

The hostel is very nice, located only 10 min by bus from the main train station and the city center. They have a bar open 24/7 and the rooms are clean.

Not much at all. We had a fab time. Rooms were super hot at night so a fan or air con would have been welcome.
The building is amazing, the facilities are good. Good breakfast on offer, good bar, good bike hire, bathrooms clean and nice.

Bathrooms should be cleaned more often. The receptionist wasn't very helpful with guiding around the local area. Breakfast at 8 Euros is expensive.
Location is quite good. Bed and room are comfortable and big and airy in size

The bed is not comfy :( the mattress is so bad and the bed makes loud sound. I could barely sleep when other people are moving in their beds.
The location is Super! Walk two minutes to the S Bahn station, 6 minutes to the bus station that takes you in 10 minutes to the Berlin Central station, and 15 minutes walk to the Charlie Check Point. It is a cool place with large place to sit, eat and chill. If you want to have breakfast, you can just pay on spot, or even have a coffee with only 1 euro! The rooms are big. The staff is cool.

Bathrooms were not always restocked with toilet paper and soap on a daily basis, nor was the disinfectant in the common areas. Many schools with students on field trips stay there and many of students are often loud and extremely rude. But that is not the fault of the establishment, but the chaperones and teachers involved in these trips.
I like the area where it is located and the large common areas. Breakfast was the same offering everyday, but well worth the money if you like what they have. They have a bar on-site.

At night it was incredibly noisy, and the staff did not seem to have done anything about it.
The staff and the rooms are very nice. It is clean, the bar is friendly. It would be great to have a fridge and a microwave at least.

The elevator kept breaking and there quite a bit if stairs to climb with our baggage. Some noisy patrons stayed at the hostel for a couple of days.

Beds can be a bit loudy

the bathrooms could be a bit better and access somehow easier.

The elevator was very old! Really small and slow! The breakfast was very basic and a bit expensive, we did not prefer it.
Lovely place, perfect location, just a few minutes walk to several hotspots. Clean enough, the bed was comfortable, and everyone respected those who sleeped. I would recommend it, it is a value for money choice!

There was one bathroom per floor, they were far away from our rooms and they generally weren't very clean. There were like school trips when we were there and that was far from enjoyable since there were a bunch of kids and teenagers in the common room at all times, I think that the hostel should notify you if you were to encounter this in your stay since it changes your experience a lot.
The location was good, close to metro stations and some landmarks like the Jewish WWII memorial and Checkpoint Charlie. The rooms were good and spacious, the beds were comfortable.

To many kids in there at the time, and when you leave a table racked up to play pool and go for a ciiggie or the toilet, you come back and kids are playing your game and trying to look dumbfounded!
Place itself was very good, great guy on the reception who was really helpful, facilities were good and pool tables to pass time! Downside of it was to many youngsters there but in all fairness they were on an excursion, would've been better without them as they were noisey and running around the landings! But on the whole it was clean and I'd recommend the place!
