Great location very close to the main Market Square in Rothenburg; nice traditional decor & very clean; and the staff are always friendly & helpful. I have stayed at the Tilman Riemenschneider for nearly 20 years and always look forward to my stay there.

We were traveling with my mobility challenged mother and the staff went out of their way to make sure she was taken care of. Wonderful location! Nothing to complain about at all!

I was an older female travelling alone from NZ. The environment/neighbourhood felt very safe. Location was excellent for the Christmas market and sightseeing. I used the adjoining restaurant for evening meal which was very good. Breakfast was included and good. Staff were helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

A little too small for my personal liking as I once you've walked through the markets there's not a lot to do unless you like walking and architecture.

Very central to the Christmas markets. Lovely little town. The buildings were amazing to look at. And the toy museum was incredible.

The beds were creaky and uncomfortable by night #2. The beds made noises with the slightest movement. It was a running joke with my kids by the end of the trip.

Location, location, location!!! We visited 12/20-12/23 which is prime Christmas market time. The location was perfect. We were around the corner from the markets which was nice because it was extremely close, but not right in the middle of the action. The inn was charming and cute—just what we wanted for this particular occasion. The restaurant was delicious as well.

Felt a little like grandmas house but that’s also part of what made it feel funny / charming. The only thing I wish they warned us about was that parking was outside of the medieval walls (which wasn’t a big deal, they had a staff person take us there) but was a little weird that we parked in what seemed like someone’s house garage (single car). We did it anyways and turned out fine. Just a heads up!

The beds were loud - with 4 people sleeping in a room, the beds squeaking at every move was rough.

The hotel is lovely - decorate nicely, a neat layout that’s fun to explore, and situated in a great spot inside the town. The staff were friendly and helpful, the included breakfast was tasty, and restaurant was delicious. We had a family room and it was well sized for our family of 4.

A very cosy cat friendly hotel. Friendly staff. Reserved parking near the hotel was a big plus. Location was great if you want to visit the Christmas Market.

The only thing I noticed, was that my room did not have a window to open. I could open the emergency escape door, but I hesitated to use that because it would mean an open door to my room.

We went to a restaurant for a breakfast buffet which was included before checking out. Just wanted to get some drinks. My main reason was to have coffee but I didn't see it. A woman at the restaurant loudly talked to me when I asked coffee. She said "we are closing in 10 minutes, you know that, right?" I knew it was until 10 am and I asked at the reception if we could still go in and she said of course. Anyway I finished a pot of coffee which has three cups worth in 5 minutes (tasted very good). Other people still went to get food though. Right before we left, a man came to us to ask our room number and I was wondering if they charged for the coffee but we weren't told to pay more when checked out. It was a bit strange to me because I haven't seen a breakfast buffet without coffee. Or they put it away earlier. Other than that, it was the best location for Christmas market.

when I took a shower the temperature would fluctuate from extremely cold to very hot. other than this issue, it was excellent.
