Not warning us that smoking was allowed outside the rooms. We were rudely awakened by smoke coming into our room through our open windows. The 2nd day I had to wake up early before their first smoke of the day. Disappointed when staff just shrugged it off. There is a strict no smoking in the rooms policy and a 100€ fine if they smell smoke in your room, but what about the smoke that came into our room. Technically we could have been fined because our room smelled horrible for hours! Just tell people ahead of time so they can keep their windows closed, even if it’s hot!

The constant in and out of the tour groups was a bit obnoxious but no fault of the hotel.

We were so pleasantly surprised by how clean, well staffed, and perfectly located this hotel is. The gentleman who helped with parking and ling gage was especially helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was delicious, and the location was PERFECT. Tucked just half a block off the main square. So, it was so close you could walk there in under 1 minute but still far enough not to get the noise and chaos of the tour groups. Would definitely stay again.

Found a previous guests hair(s) on the telephone by our bed and hanging from the hair dryer in the bathroom. Both pretty obvious places, makes me wonder if the rest of the room was cleaned with the same amount of “detail”.

Staff was fantastic! So kind and helpful. Great location. Room was quiet, no hotel noise to keep you up on a Saturday night. Breakfast was better than most I’ve had in Europe. Good scrambled eggs and decent bacon. Restaurant also had good food. All personnel in our group enjoyed their food and the service was great!

With the hotter summers in Europe and the higher temps in the rooms I personally would have like airco. But with the energy crisis it is hard to add more cost to the price of a room. Hotel offered a fan which helped a lot. Everything else was fine.

Good hotel in the center of town. We were lucky to be there at the time of one of their annual medieval events. Nice room, nice people and an adequate breakfast. We took advantage of the garage to park our car. Well worth the money. The hotel communicated ahead of time about the event so we did not have any bad surprises. Overall a nice hotel in a beautiful preserved town.

We love Rothenburg but this place has been one of the best! Great location, open rooms and huge breakfast selection. Staff was warm and inviting, welcomed our kids and made sure they had everything they needed. Beautiful views! Rooms for large families were a bonus. Very responsive ahead of our trip and helped us adapt the rooms when our numbers changed.

This gorgeous hotel is right where you need it to be, close to the city centre but nestled away in a quiet little nook. Its charming and very clean, the staff are very helpful and polite, we didn't want to leave! Stayed with 2 kids

The bed pillows could have been better. With no AC and notification that for smoking one must make sure to smoke outside but verify windows and doors are closed first so smoke doesn't get in the room - this did not happen. To cool our room, we'd open the door and window to the balcony only to have to close it a few minutes later because someone would go outside and start smoking.

Check-in was smoothest we've experienced. Breakfast is very nice. The location is ideal, just a 1-2 minute walk to the town square, close to great restaurants, gelato, and access to the town wall, all while in a quiet street. The hotel restaurant food is delcious!

No coffee machine in the room nor at a centrally located area, perhaps in the lobby of the hotel. There also was no mini- fridge in the room . There was a large complementary water on the table as you walked inside your room, but truly missed the refrigerator in room

The hotel is a very old building which was totally renovated. The hotel was well located within the city walla. The room was clean, as were the linens. The size of the room and bath were generous and uniquely decorated in an old Bavarian style. The breakfast was pleasant, serving up a wide variety of nice quality food. The Service varied greatly from friendly and helpful to impolite! The hotel is quite cute and quaint and is located in the old town . Quite beautiful.

No real issues. The only thing worth changing would be to move to large shower gel and shampoo and move away from minis but I assume this will happen over time.

Fantastic location. Parking is a slight challenge but it is a 12th century walled city so be patient when parking your car. 2 min walk to the central marketplace. Homely hotel. Wonderful and helpful staff. The breakfast was nice and hit the spot. So easy to get around the town and lots of restaurants, cafes etc. Highly recommend this property.
