Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Our stayed happened in some warm days…it warm in the room, despite the fan! Easily solved with a cold shower and a cold towel!
A family hotel, good delivery for the money paid. Short walk from Aleksander plaza. Breakfast was really good (no eggs or bacon, but plenty of everything else). Can recommend!

Very hot weather, room difficult to cool. Fan helped but this was noisy. Additional signs from the main road would help.
Main public space was quite open, easy to see everything.

The location is only a few minutes away from several tram stops, but to walk to the city center is a little bit further (about 25 minutes to Alexanderplatz).
Nice large rooms with their own bathroom, and the included breakfast is very good for being freely included. Nice athmosphere with many families but also friend groups staying there. There are also many restaurants nearby.

The breakfast is still the same as it was 5 years ago - would be good to add some fresh fruits and eggs. The room 51 is too small and it's very loud there, as it's located just in front of elevator
I've stayed here for a fourth time, because it's the best hotel with perfect location =price=service

The Breakfast was as expected, however with a lot of people in the buffet areas the noise level was a bit of an issue.
The rooms were sufficient for our needs, and we were able to park the car in the street for a low fare

No fridge facilities. The only access coming to the premise through elevator with long waiting, please make it possible to walk up the stairs (walking down is already possible)

We had top floor 4 bed room and it was extremely hot (30+), room was extremely warm in evening/night even with skylights open. A fan was provided in room but didn’t fully help. Otherwise cannot fault and it was an extremely hot period Some noise from street

That we'd been booked with a school group. There were kids running up and down the halls and screaming past midnight, then they woke us up early the next day.
Room was perfect for six of us. Private bathroom a bonus. Beds were good, but it was hot :) Great that windows could open. Breakfast is OUTSTANDING, as is late checkout. Ideal place to stay to explore Berlin.

This is a noisy hotel as it is a hostel with lots of young people. Ask for a quiet floor if there is one.

Great value for money hotel. Located a short tramride away from Alexanderplatz. Meeting all basic requirements for a good stay at a hotel. Shower was fine, beds were fine. Breakfast had a plethora of options. Nothing was exceptional, all in all just a great hotel for the price.
