The interior of the hotel looks a little dated and worn. We both thought it was time for a redo.

We found our initial suite on the second floor dark - few windows and not enough lighting. So, we upgraded to a suite on the 10th floor, which was far better with windows. The hotel is well located - not in the middle of the absolute core, so less noisy, but within walking distance of everything we were interested in. The staff were very helpful. We would come again.

Could do with a lick of paint now, and it's a shame there is no where to have dinner in the hotel.

Our suite room was lovely but the odd few marks on walls etc which needed a tiny bit of tlc meant it wasn't as perfect as it could have easily been. Would prefer a door between living space and bedroom so the two rooms could be used with greater independence - e.g. watching the TV if someone is sleeping.

Amazing building, very well converted and totally unique. Rooftop bar and terrace also a lovely place to spend some time (view as per pic). Location a 15 min walk to city centre so a pretty good compromise.

The building is beautiful and the rooms are large, clean and comfortable with gorgeous views of the city. We stayed only one night, but because of the central location, we managed to see the cathedral, the river, some shopping etc. I would stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay just before Christmas. Hotel is situated a short walk away from the hustle and bustle which was welcomed as the evenings were quiet. Really like the rooftop bar for a cocktail! The look and feel of the old water tower is unique. A great spot and would definitely return!

Beautifully renovated water tower with amazing views. The room was spacious and stylish and the staff were friendly and helpful. 10 minute walk to the Dom and easy to get to. Will definitely stay there again.

Easy enough walk to the main town space, but not in the thick of things. Limited room service and would have liked access to snacks as shops a few blocks away. But not a big issue really.

Stunning historical stay with plush rooms and facilities. Rooftop bar was gorgeous and the food was lovely. Excellent staff and customer service.

Booking has some mixed information about the spa and gym, so it could be straightened out.

The room was spacious and the location was great. We spent quite a lot of time at the gym and the spa (or more just a sauna), and both were excellent. The breakfast buffet was also good.

The wellness is not really accessible for fast travellers. Excellent parking, but such a small parking spots. The house keeping needs to improve.

Noise in our room on 10th floor - due to roof-top bar just above n 11th floor, with quite a bit of 'boom-boom' until 1 o'clock. Expensive and narrow garage, with unclear getting-in and getting-out instructions ( creating a lot of unnecessary stress)

Original, 'insolite'. Close to the city-center. Well-equipped spacious room, very nice view over the city of Cologne. Great breakfast, although quite expensive (31 euros per person).

I booked 3 rooms and when we arrived I booked one more room. I asked for a discount on the additional room, as this would now be 4 rooms total ( quite a few rooms for one person to book in my opinion). The declined to give me a discount which made me feel unappreciated.

This hotel was very unique. The decor was beautiful and we loved the lounge on the top floor.

Lighting in the room is less than we are used to. It is due to design but during the dark period- autumn and winter I would appreciate more light in the room.

It is a place with a character. Perfect location, perfect sound proofing, very nice service, especially people working at breakfast, very very nice people and excellent breakfast.
