Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumThe towels we got were a bit old/worn out. It's straight in front of the church - bells start ringing at 6am in the morning. Some might find this charming, light sleepers will not like this. You best ask the owner to assign you a room at the back of the property.
Very nice place to stay in Mehring. The owner and staff in general is super friendly. It is also possible to eat dinner in the evening (same room as where breakfast is served). The breakfast is very complete and offers great value for money! The terrace is a very nice "hidden gem" and you can enjoy a cold beer or Mösel wine here.

United Kingdomsome of the beds were squeaky the one was so bad one of us slept on the sofa that needs sorting. There is no point having single beds if they are in the same frame so your forced to sleep right next to someone
Good buffet breakfast, superb location good price for 4 people.

United KingdomNo vegetarian option on the menu (I did get chips and salad!) and partners card would not work so he had to pay cash (other cards worked without issue.)
Room downstairs was really good size with a huge bathroom, upstairs rooms weren't as big but still good. Styling is a little dated but very clean and all functional. Staff were lovely. Courtyard area was beautiful. Great breakfast

NetherlandsIt's a bit crowded in among other buildings, and there was a LOT of smoke coming out of the bar and just outside of it. But then, that's Germany!
Our room was huge and we were so happy that it had a fridge. This is white wine country, after all! Kevin was sooo welcoming and friendly. We had dinner there (yum) and breakfast was terrific!

Czech RepublicThere was no real double bed, but two beds with a wooden frame put together.
Great place when you want to discover excellent Mosel wines, not far from the historic city of Trier that is worth visiting. Small family hotel with the restaurant, the owner has his own wines and sells it for very reasonable prices. Clean rooms. Friendly service. The evening menu in the restaurant is rather basic, but you will be compensated by fabulous Riesling wines, not only dry, but also semi-dry and sweet. Great breakfast. Parking opposite the hotel across the street.

NetherlandsNearby church (50mtr) rings his bells everyday at 06hr for 5min long continues ! (Which woke us up every morning!) TV in sitting room (very nice LG widescreen) has too low signal why several channels didn’t work properly (blocks in picture). TV in sleeping room even worser, hardly any channel worked.

SwedenThe guest house was very good with nice staff. The room was spacious but with a little cold floor at the beginning of March. There was a kettle and a small fridge. The breakfast was excellent and they served us with the desired special diet.

NetherlandsThe interior and furniture are outdated, but this is common at the German countryside and not really disturbing. The third sleeping room has old matresses and thin pillows. If you are disabled you have to count with four little stairs you have to take for the appartment. Check out is pretty early at 10 am. Breakfast is between 7:30 and 9:30 am. At 6 am we were awakened by the church priest who was ringing the church bells close to the accommodation.
The family and staff helped us pretty well, also by phone because of the limited opening times of the accommodation (between 15:00 - 00:00 pm) The apartment at the top level was exciting for 6 persons and the view from the balcony outstanding. The apartment covers plenty of space with a living room, separate kitchen with dining space, doorway and spacious sleeping rooms (3) Also the bathroom was well equipped with a bath and separate shower. The restaurant offers good food for reasonable prices, besides you can order breakfast, order a drink at the bar and buy local wine at the accommodation. Mehring is a small village with a couple of restaurants and a little supermarket on a strategic location between Mosel hotspots Bernkastel-Kues and Trier. It is close to the beautiful river and there are plenty of wine shops around. Mehring covers an ancient roman villa and an old catholic church.

United StatesRoom was on ground floor immediately next to the cafe, and the only windows opened onto the cafe with tables just a few feet away. We needed to keep the windows fully closed to have any privacy, which made the room very dark and also warm, since there was no air conditioning or fans in the room. A fan would have been appreciated.
Exceptionally clean. Attentive staff.
