Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NorwayThey do not have a room with a double and a single for 3 persons. Bathroom was very small but it served its purposes.
It is located in the centrum. Very convenient and practical.

SwitzerlandIf you have a lot of luggage the room we booked was too small. But since we used it only as a stop on our journey farther to the north it didn’t bother us
Easygoing, late check in, luggage storage in the lobby

NetherlandsHidding my head against the bunk bed above. please attach a soft bumper on the corner.
After arriving from Sweden by ferry we were looking for a place to stay two nights. We were surprised about the city Aalborg: much more mundaine than we expected and the Cabinn Hotel is at the right spot! Close to the waterfront and park, where you can have a walk, lie on the deck chairs on the quay, or visit the Utzon Center (at 200 metres). Also ideally close to the shopping center, bars and restaurants.( 1 minute walk). We arrived by car and there is plenty of space in the public parking when you arrive outside shopping hours (for which you can pay at check in at the Hotel). We were able to park close to the door that leads straight to the stairs or elevator to your floor. For our bycicles, there was a big cage in the corner of the parking garage with the key available at the reception desk. The rooms are pretty small. That's also the concept: like a cabin on a ship and to reduce costs. The third bed for our child was a bunk bed above the double bed. (ask for the detachable railing bar at the reception desk!) The bathroom is extremely tiny, but efficient. With the shower curtain closed around you, there is only room left for the toilet itself. It was good enough for us. For three adults, I would consider the room to small. Breakfast was good, but we don't have high demands for this. No noise from ouside or other guests. I would recommend this hotel.

United KingdomNot the best breakfast was the same all 3 mornings there and not much choice for the price. Mainly cold food. Bathroom could've been nicer. Couldn't have blind open as the room I was in was at same level as gym opposite so people could see straight in.
Very good location near the centre and easy walk to station. Nice simple room and great staff! Good enough for a solo stay for a few days. Comfortable room!

NorwayThe sink/shower soloution didn't work very well in my room. The shower leaked water when we were washing our hands and the bathroom is so tiny, that everything gets wet when shower is on and leaking. The Windows didnt have a safety latch, so you could fall right out of it if it were open. My kids slept in the uppstairs bed and had to climb right by the Window, so I had to have the Window closed at night, in case they climbed down to go to the toilet during the night.
Location, parking was easy. Good breakfast, clean room and comfy beds.

BelgiumThe shower is a bit disaster. It is very basic and makes all bathroom wet. But it is the concept...... Parking is ok under the hotel, but not that easy to find.
Basically the room is ok to stay overnight. Staff was helpful so all we needed was fine.

GermanyRoom was tiny. We were in two adults and 1 baby and with all the baggages we were packed inside the small room. Bathroom is something in itself and for me (1,90m) it was really small and difficult to shower. The beds on the floor are ok but the high bed is very narrow and relative short (I believe for people up to 1,80m and relative skinny should be ok).
Really good location, providing easy access to the town center and to the beautiful river side. Was ok as a stop on our way to Norway, but I would only recommend it for people travelling light and alone. Maybe they have other rooms with different layouts and bigger sizes, which could provide a different experience.

Netherlands-
This hotel is located in the city centre of Aalborg. We had a room with a lovely view over the water and the bridge. You can park your car in the parking garage Friis and walk upstairs to the hotel from the garage. You also can get a reduced parking fee (DKK 99,- per day).

AustriaIf you're traveling by car you have to pay extra to park it at the parking house of Friis Shopping Center. Although the price is reduced for hotel guests. Breakfast isn't included, needs to be booked seperate.
The room and bathroom was small but actually had everything I needed, except a hair dryer 😉. It is clean and comfortable, very nice lobby. The Cabinn Aalborg is a perfect starting point to go see the north, Skagen, and explore the surroundings. It is located at the heart of the town, that is also very nice to go see, with a few shopping opportunities.

Excellent value for money. Good breakfast, nice room (commodore type), friendly and ready-to-help personnel, great location. Ventilation is good, so one can sleep with closed windows. It's noisy, but it does its job well.
