Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaWhen I didn't feel like going down to party, it was noisy from the 2nd floor.

United StatesThe bathroom is located outside of the room, not a huge deal just dont forget your key when you need to go to the WC in the middle of night or risk waking up your flatmates. Also im not sure if it was here or not bc i only noticed when i got to a different hostel in iceland, but i got some bites on my arm. when i told the iceland hostel they said they rarely have insects and that i mightve contracted them from a prior place. idk. they were gnarly bites though.
The location is great. just a short 15 min walk from the Metro. Not too far from bars, beautiful eateries and cafes, and Tivoli Gardens. The hostel was also the only place popping off bar-wise. The actual room is okay, it has a sink and mirror and a vanity to sit and do your makeup/hair which was a pleasant surprise. Theres a bar and place to eat downstairs which is always a nice convenience.

IndiaIt was hot and they could have provided a table fan atleast to tide over the heat. Lot's of noise in the night because of the in-house bar. They shouldn't allow people to stand outside and talk on the road. It's very disturbing and had to use noise cancellation head sets to get some sleep!

GermanyThe shower water temperature is a bit unlikely to adjust, you have to turn the handle all the way up. Don’t think it’s only for the pressure, if you turn it up enough the pressure decreases and gets warmer. Mind it to avoid a cold shower session.
I accidentally booked a wrong date, but the very kind and helpful employee managed it and we found a solution both were happy.

FinlandNot for someone who actually wants to sleep. Mostly young people, parties going on till morning etc. The biggest problem was that the soundproofing was quite bad and you heard people coming back to the hostel and slamming their doors all night long

MalaysiaFor a backpacker, I guess this facility is excellent. I was disappointed at the lack of common facilities other than the bar downstairs. Maybe I was expecting too much for that price. We stayed at another hostel earlier this year and other than the small room, there was ample common space downstairs to hang out
Location was good.

Singaporebooked a twin bed private ensuite and guess what? we used the common shower the whole time cos the shower head was directly above the sink, which means, no matter how I tune/turn, when I washed my hands, the shower head will start pouring!! also, it kept flooding the toilet after the shower, it just doesn’t flow properly and we guess the shower was choked. it was horrible hahahaha
lovely staffs and awesome location

DenmarkNo true common area with kitchen for making food. There's only the bar lobby which is open to everyone, not just hostel guests. At night, it can get very loud with the parties in the reception. Bring earplugs. This hostel attracts a variety of types of people. There were homeless people who asked others if they could come into their room and sleep. The police were called to the building. There were drug addicts sitting at the chairs in front of the hostel and talking about how they were sleeping in parks in Amsterdam and how expensive but amazing the Norwegian cocaine is. These were homeless drug users. This is not the kind of people I'd like to meet at a hostel. The cleanliness could be improved. Some of the rooms have toothpaste spots on the walls, etc. The issue of turning on the hot water in the showers was a mystery for me. You have to turn the water knop ALL THE WAY you can, and it will become hot only then! I spent my first few days with ice cold showers, which was fun. When I asked the staff they just told me to try the showers in the other floors because I couldn't turn on the hot water. They didn't tell me I had to turn the knob all the way :) So now you know! Other than that, the people here are openminded and nice.
Great location in CPH downtown. Decent WiFi without issues. Cheap decent filter coffee in the lobby area. Shower with hot water (although very high water pressure can be annoying) Social hostel with events. I didn't have any of the problems described in other reviews. No bed bugs or anything nasty. Great price for the location and what you get. I'll be back. Thanks! :)

Really nice hostel if you like to party, but if you're looking for a place for a good night sleep maybe this isn't the one :) There's a bar downstairs and the noise is pretty loud. We slept in a private room and it was really nice.

IrelandTiny room and bathroom. The shower head was in the middle of the bathroom ceiling so basically the toilet/ sink were drowned in the process. Make sure to leave all towels/ toilet roll outside the bathroom when showering. Toilets in the bar/ reception area smelled rancid so not sure how often they’re cleaned.

NetherlandsIt is a bit of a pity that the beds are not labelled properly so you might get confused whether you are staying in the upper bed or lower bed especially if you are a first-timer. My bunkmate returned to the hostel in the middle of the night drunk and woke me because she thought I was sleeping in the wrong bed. That caused a bit of a hassle and she woke everyone in the room in the morning because the alarm that she set. But I guess that depends on your luck and it really comes down to who is staying in the room with you. Overall, it was a comfortable stay and everything is part of the hostel experience.
The price is affordable compared to other accommodations in the city center. The hostel is just a 5 minutes walk away from metro and city center with vibrant night life. There is also a bar just right below the rooms so it might get a bit noisy a night but you will never feel alone! You can enjoy breakfast in the bar if you add a little of money and staff is friendly and helpful.

GermanyExtremely hot in the room (window can only be opened a bit). Also be aware that this is a party hostel with a huge bar (if this isn't your type of hostel don't go there).
15 minute walk from the main train station, rooms have a sink and mirror and big lockers, clean bathrooms, breakfast available but a bit pricey

CanadaIt’s kinda dirty and gross, washrooms are often gross and out of order. Room smelled funky.
The best part of this place is the social scene. There’s a bench out front of the hostel and just by sitting there there’s a constant rotation of new people to meet and talk to. One of the best social scenes of hostels I’ve been to.

United KingdomNot the best value for money. Rooms quite cramped, with people eating in and leaving belongings around the room (seems like they were on a long-duration stay). Worn out furniture, linen could have been cleaner, beds could do with basic individual lamps as there is no curtain and the light in the room is fairly bright.
Conveniently located! Staff was okay.
