We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

SwedenIt's really in the middle of nowhere so you will need to go into the city to have something to eat. The area is completely abandoned and feels a bit creepy at night, as a single traveller I would not stay here. Extremely basic room with a sort of "abandoned factory chic" style. The check-in was only open for 1 hour on the day we were arriving (which we were informed of over the phone just before they closed). In the end everything was fine and we could check in by ourselves but it felt strange that they couldn't have told us about it earlier. When we were checking out, the reception was also not manned so we didn't see a single staff member during our stay. As another reviewer mentioned, it's a budget quality hotel but not for a budget price.
The room was clean and acceptable for a one night stay. Nice to have free parking.

GermanyOne thing I found very strange is the placement of the iron and ironing stand. They don't even have a designated area for it. Instead, they just put the ironing stand in the cafeteria without any hanging stands or other equipment. So, you end up ironing while others are eating right there. I found this unorganized and not meaningful.

United KingdomI had to check in on a machine when I arrived (11pm) because no staff were there. By mistake, I ended up paying for a room that I'd already pre-paid. The receptionist was very good, she told me about this next morning and immediately refunded the additional payment to my credit card. But the check-in on a machine was not a good experience.
