Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe shower had a strange smell, like humidity.
The bunkbeds are really sturdy, there's an individual light for each bed, the storage space is huge, the vanity is nice, I like that the restroom is separated from the shower, the mattress is comfy, the location is great.

AustraliaFor a king size room/bed it was cramped. Only 5 TV channels on a TV to the side of bed. One towel each provided. No floor mat or washer towel. Provided WiFi had a challenging login procedure(most don’t), and was out for over 20hrs. The whole building had a worn out look. The included breakfast was basic, an no refrigeration of protein items.
We we in room 605. Bathroom was very good, felt like a disability wet room. The location was main reason to stay.

LuxembourgSome of the staff were not really helpful. As we did a self-check in, we didn‘t get the vouchers for breakfast, and nodoby told us we needed those. When we went for breakfast the first day, the lady told us not so friendly that we needed the tickets. Breakfast was not really good. Very few options.
Nice hostel. Most of the staff were very kind. All in all we enjoyed our stay. Everything is in walking distance.

United KingdomI was in a four-bed room. The sink is located between the beds. if some of the guests brushes his teeth with an electric toothbrush after going out, earplugs won't help you. WC and shower are separate but also in the room. One girl who went to the toilet, I don't know what she ate, but it was horrible smell, I wanted to throw up, I couldn't breathe. In the morning the drain in the bathroom was blocked and the water was almost coming into the room - it wasn’t possible to take a shower. The beds are ok and comfy, location is excellent generally is really clean - but the toilet, shower and sink in the room are a nightmare. I don't know if it's like that in other rooms as well, but this was a really unpleasant experience.
Good location, clean, easy check in/out, pub, balcony, staff, breakfast…

United StatesI won't complain about noise, which wasn't bad actually, and you should expect a little noise anyway on a Saturday night in such an area. That wasn't a problem. The beds were a little short, though, and I'm not especially tall (5'10"). Also, I read that towels were included in the price of private rooms, but there were no towels in our room and we were not told that we needed to ask for them at reception (which we didn't do). So we just never got towels. Finally, Copenhagen as a whole is really expensive. One night in this room at a hostel (around 9 hours total) cost about the same as three nights (almost four full days) in the entire apartment we had just returned from in Split, Croatia.
Generator Copenhagen is a unique place and almost a destination worth visiting in its own right. We probably aren't its target clientele, since we're a family traveling with an adolescent child and staying only for one night on a layover. We reserved a private room, arrived late, and went right to sleep after arriving on a Saturday night around midnight, when of course there was a lot of activity. Definitely an interesting atmosphere, but we barely glimpsed it. The next morning, though, we ate breakfast at the hostel and it was fantastic. Definitely worth eating breakfast there. You can't really beat the location either. It's right in the center of things and easy to get to from the airport via the metro.
