Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBuilding was a bit tired looking and the shower was in need of a deep clean. We had to wait a long time to check-in. Unfortunately there were loud roadworks which started early in the morning. The room was very hot.
Beds were comfortable and room was tidy.

SpainPlace looked better on pics than it is in reality. Halls looked old, stairs dirty with dust, room and bathroom smaller than pics showed. No air conditioner or way to regulate temperature in the room, just a old fan. breakfast buffet is too basic. not worth it.
location and staff were kind.

United KingdomVery uncomfortable room. Uncomfortable bed, very bad pillows. The bathroom is so old, so small, so non-fonctional that it is not possible to wash your face! Literally, we could not wash our face in a tiny sink. + the room is very very noisy, the windows are not soundproof. You can hear everything happening outside.. +no wardrobe in the room. +only one towel for each. No towel for hair or hand.
Location only.

United KingdomI would recommend a renovation of the lobby, stairs, and other common areas. Rooms could also use an uplift as appear stale. TV didn't have any channels. Inner elevator couldn't go to certain floors.
Great location, friendly staff and had an amazing hamburger at the restaurant.

United KingdomCheck in wasn’t great. You get a message to check in online to speed up the process when you get there, still told passport needed to check in. Fair enough, but the tone of it was quite condescending, like you are dumb for not knowing that was needed, perhaps you could add this information to the end of the online check in? Then I was told I need to pay there at the hotel, except when booking it said the payment would be taken BEFORE arrival, so the wording was both incorrect and misleading, especially as I had given all my payment details at time of booking. Ended up costing me an extra £12 in conversion fees as had to use a card that charges on international transactions (used as I thought the payment would be taken before arrival and this wouldn’t have a charge, if I had known I’d have used my credit card with no transaction fees). Not impressed with this and I really think the wording needs updating as it’s quite misleading in the payment detail section on booking.com. Room not a good fit to be a twin, too small and awkward a shape. Only one drawer, nowhere to store a case or really unpack so the room always looked messy. there were some hangers on the piping/shelving unit but if you hung stuff up there they would be in your face when you were trying to sleep so we ended up using the radiator. There may have been some more storage space under the bed along the window that didn’t have a drawer but you couldn’t get to it because the other bed blocked it completely. One bed was a lose-lose situation as one side you have the tv light right in your eyes and and other is too bright as it’s directly underneath the curtain so there’s light all the way along. Ended up using a cushion as a block, as I didn’t want to buy a branded ‘generator’ eye mask. The USB chargers on both beds didn’t work and one of the beds the plug socket didn’t work either.
I did like the style of the room, with the nice furniture, bed spotlights and comfy mattresses (despite the bed positioning). The shower was also good pressure and hot and I really liked the soap provided. Can’t fault the location, the vibe and the lovely bar staff but overall I was left feeling ambivalent about the stay

Switzerlandi know it’s a “just” a hostel. but I still paid 550usd for 3 nights and the bathroom was extremely filthy, the room was super small, too much furniture in the room you couldn’t even properly move, the first night the drain in the shower was clogged and flossed everything. really quite disappointing
good location

United StatesEverything was just a little off. The bed-lockers were just boards with locks. The toilet and showers were (conveniently) located inside the door room, but that also meant nasty smells and musty air inside the room from time to time.
The location is wonderfully central - near the heart of a retail shopping area with loads of restaurants and bars, and within a 4-12 walk to two metro lines, parks, and galleries. Walking distance to the David Collection. Staff were polite and accommodating.

HungaryThe shower was terrible, there weren’t a shower just a bathroom with a tap. So when we took a shower all the bathroom got wet so we cannot use the toilet after it. Also the drain was clogged so the water flow into the room. We could hear everything from the rooms around. There is only one elevator which isn’t enough
Everything was in walk/bicycle distance. The bed was comfy and the room has just enough space.

Finlandtimes you get the room. At 14.00 you miss a whole day, at 10.00 you have to be on the street too early. the elevator system very mixed up. Noise from restaurant and street even to the 6 th floor. Having to rent a locker for suitcase storage while waiting for the room. This should not be called a hotel, but a hostel if even that.
