Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The room was very warm when we checked it and it took very long to cool down. There should be a fan, or a system to open the window a bit more than the 10 cm allowed. Breakfast this time didn't have any fruit or yogurt which we thought was great last time we stayed at this hostel.
Our room was at the 4th floor and we had an open view on the sky from it. We enjoyed the breakfast, and comfortable beds.

Beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were disgusting and when we told the staff by check out her only response was: I know.

The showers and toilets feel like campsite style. Showers are extremely small, no space for your stuff.

It was definitely not very clean, specially the bathrooms could need more cleaning! But freshly smelling clean sheets and towel - although you have to pay extra for those, which is less nice (70 dk). The room was small and quite crowded with six beds. Not much privacy and not much space for luggage.
Great location right in the city center! Friendly staff, fast in answering messages. Cafe on the top floor where you also can sit as a guest when they’re not open.

Got a king size bed that was made up of to smaller beds put together, which were always sliding apart

Expensive for what it was. Had to pay for bedsheets - been in 10+ hostels in Europe in the past few months and never had to pay for bedsheets. Towels, I understand but bedsheets is a bit rough I think. 50dkk per person was very steep as well. Hostel had rules like no drinking your own alcohol, had to get it from the bar. Although this didn’t seem to be enforced that seemed a bit rough too - nothing like I’ve experienced at past hostels. Showers were very small and did not really have a substantial place to put your belongings to prevent them from getting wet.
Great location, cool history of the building. Comfortable bedding.

I didn't notice in the description the extra cost for "hiring" the bed linen (or use your own). Usually it is included & we don't have to mind about it. Same for the towels but I had mine (more easy to carry). THE ROOM : It is not the case for all of them (previous experience... ), but in mine there were a total of 8 beds & 8 hooks. - Some locker would have been appreciated. . I could have my laptop kept at the reception, but it is open 08:00 - 20:00. Why not some "common" lockers near the entrance ? - Some shelves could be appreciated too. - Electrical installation to be reviewed. My lamp did not hold. And not powered : depending on electric cables under the bed...
Some gathering / chilling places. Common little kitchen with some material. Breakfast buffet. Staff upkeeping the place. Cleanliness. & sharpness of the place. Good & fresh bed linen. The poster images that evoked the past of the building. The price. The location. Quiet place.

Sadly no lockers in the rooms. That was really missing so i ended up sleeping with all my stuff in my bed

You need to "rent" bed sheets and towels which are not included in the price.
Localization was perfect. Staff was really nice. Bed was comfy and toilets were clean.

Found it weird that you had to pay extra for bedsheets. 50 per person seems quite wild. And also weird you had to put it on yourself.
I liked the easy check-in and the room in general.

Had to pay extra for bedsheets (like another 6 €?), I didn't know that at first. The price was okay for Denmark but already expensive for me.

I would like to highlight that you have to pay for bedsheet, quilt cover and the towel so if you book this stay get your own stuff so that u can save the money!!! Also the toilets and shower are in different area so if there is some problem in locating ask the staff to help! Moreover, the gates of the hostel close at 9 pm.
Due to the location everything was accessible and bus stops were just at walking distance of 7-8 mins.
