Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwedenA drunk homeless man "walked" inside the breakfast room in the morning and started begging for money at the tables (supposedly without permission) and moved on to behaving kind of suspiciously close to the buffet. It felt incredibly uncomfortable. The hotel should not allow this kind of behaviour, guests pay for a standard, not to feel harassed first thing in the morning!! That is NOT OKAY.
Perfect position close to everything, very useful 50% discount on a parking close by. The man working the afternoon shift at the reception is very very kind and helpful. The room was simple but had everything we needed, we thought it was a bit cold upon arrival but nothing that couldn't be fixet by raising the temperature on the radiator.

Location in the heart of old town Aalborg is perfect. Even though the rooms are extremely small but served the purpose and provided comfort

AustraliaIt was such a cheap stay at such short notice! The room was pretty good and we loved our stay. We stayed on a Saturday and Sunday night. On the Saturday the club nearby and I couldnt get to sleep well that night: the bass was extremely loud and I could also hear lots of party goers talking loudly. On the Sunday it was extremely quiet and couldn’t hear a peep. It was extremely close to ALL the shopping and bars so the location couldn’t be better! If you are going to the clubs and will be out all night, best place to stay

PortugalThere’s no parking at the hotel. You have to park at a paying private parking garage and the hotel gives you a 50% discount ticket to use. The bedroom window looked at the breakfast room. The bedroom was shabby. There was no hair dryer in the bathroom. The bedroom was on the main floor and you kept hearing the other doors close and open, plus every time it happened, our own door would shake and appear that someone was trying to enter. The breakfast did not serve hot foods (like scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, etc)
Location was great. There were pancakes served at breakfast

The location is good. Aalborg is a small city but being in the center is nice. There are many comments about the noise. I didn't hear any noise, maybe it wasn't weekend or because my room was looking at back.

TurkeyDefinitely the size of the room + bed. Possibly the smallest room and bed I have ever had in my life. I was too scared to fall out of bed while trying to sleep...

United KingdomOur room's window was placed there to make the room less box-like/closed I imagine, but the window faced inside into the breakfast/eating room and it was very loud in the morning and also in the evening as some guests were in there late watching tv and drinking.
The location was good, the customer service was really lovely, the information and communication before check in was super helpful.

AustraliaI was there mid-week in Sept and happy new uni students were filling the nearby pubs. I suspect night-time noise levels could get rather high on weekends.
Location is central to the action - a vibrant area especially after dark. Within 10-15 minutes' walk from the station and easy access to local public transport. Decent breakfast included, and the coffee machine is available to use at other times too.

United KingdomThe hotel is located in a very busy and loud lane which appeared to be the heart of the entertainment district. All good but when I got there at about 21:30 the music playing outside was so loud I could hear it clearly in my room which overlooked the street. I will say however that at 23:00 everything quietened down and I was able to get off to sleep without any problem at all.
The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Check in was quick and easy, and my room was as described. The breakfast was decent and I was able to leave my luggage in storage for the day whilst I headed out into the city to explore. All in all a good start and I’d be happy to book this hotel again if I’m ever back in the area.

BelgiumA few things in our room needed a bit of maintenance. There is no elevator towards the 2nd floor (although there is a wheelchair lift to the first floor where also the reception is located).
Centrally located charming hotel. Everything worth seeing in Aalborg is within walking distance. This also applies to the nearby parking garage (Q-Park Palads) where the hotel provides a 50% discount. It must yet be said that the hotel is located in a narrow rather student-like street with numerous beer bars, but (needs also to be said) we were not bothered by this at all (we had a room at the back, away from the street). The comfort and breakfast are rather basic, but OK for most people.

Germanydidnt like the breakfast at all! it is a super tiny buffet, if one guest is helping himself to something from the buffett, other guests basically have to wait, that is how tiny it is, the capucchino from the machine was remarkably bad
situated directly at the beginning of a busy street full of pubs, convenient if you are looking for a good place to eat and/or drink, maybe not as nice if you have a window facing that street due to the noice; overall the hotel has a decent value for money ratio in my opinion
