We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainThe room was not so isolated from neighbour noises, but people were very respectful. The breakfast was really poor, we decided to go to a nearer supermarket and we spent the same and have a better breakfast. Maybe it was a little bit expensive (you have to pay for luggage storage) but not much to be Copenhague.
The common area was great!! Good music, good atmosphere and plenty of entertainment. The shared bathrooms were clean and big, with plenty of space. The beds are very comfortable and the "room" was quite big. Acces with public transport is easy and lots of options to reach the city center.

ColombiaIt is not in the center of the city. Keep in mind you have to take train, bus, scooter or walk for around 40 minutes to go to or from the center.
The room was clean and it wasn’t noisy around when I slept there. It enjoyed the games in the bar

UkraineNo ventilation, really hard to breathe at night cause tents are not ventilated. Might be too noisy because of other people
The atmosphere is nice and areas that are shared were clean

South AfricaWould have preferred: If there was a kitchen available - would have loved to make myself a cup of tea and NOT pay for it! If the luggage lockers could have double access instead of a once off. (Suggestion 2 coins per locker)
I loved the friendly staff. And when faces with a challenge upon my arrival they did their utmost best and went the extra mile to resolve. LOVED and appreciated that. SUPER AMAZING STAFF Great location and close to the metro and trains. The ambience and vibe of the hostel was awesome even for me as a non-drinker or smoker. Loved the ambience and tent vibe for the rooms Loved that you have your OWN bed light AND plug for charging phones with USB option as well I loved the bathroom facilities, was so clean Loved the breakfast that was basic and affordable.

Brazilunfortunately it got a bit warm inside the tents, and it was easy to hear any noises coming from the other tents.
The hostel had a great shared area with a nice selection of beers, and the hole camping idea is pretty cool.

ArgentinaThe “bedrooms” are actually tents inside a big room. There is no privacy since you listen absolutely everything from outside the tent. The ventilation is bad, no windows in the ‘tents’.
The chillout area is comfortable to be in. The hostel is in an area with many parks, in a radius of 10m biking one can find around 6 big parks to spend the day.

EgyptIts located far away from center, but a metro station is just 1 minute walk away.
Staff where friendly and helpful, specially during breakfast, the fact that breakfast there costs 25 krones despite being a very basic one is a good feature . Toilets and showers where always clean and smell good. The idea of tents inside the building is genuine and functionally good as it offers easy access , privacy and good ventilation. The hang about area was nice, many games, books and washing machines.

Germanyshowers need you to keep pressing to keep the water flowing which can be quite annoying if you needed a long warm shower after a long trip, felt like a cheap tactic. I also did not appreciate having cameras in the shower area it felt intrusive (camera looking on top of the shower cubicle looking inside, really?). just bear in mind that the so called 4 person rooms aren't actually rooms but rather tents in an open space resembling a warehouse (not a warehouse). this means that technically you are in the same room with around 50 people if not more. in practice, this worked surprisingly well (probably due to the excellent ventilation system) and with the earplugs it's possible to consistently get a good night sleep.
free earplugs, comfortable beds, good ventilation in the beds area.
