United StatesOn February 25, while at the pool, we ordered nachos from the little cafe bar next to the pool. We ordered the nachos at 1200 pm but by 1225, the simple order of nachos had not arrived. Finally, the nachos arrived at 1245 pm, which was much too long for such a simple order.

United StatesThe shower vasilated suddenly and continuously from very hot to cold. It could easliy burn you if you weren't careful. There was not way to change this. It would be helpful to have someone to speak English at check-in.
Meals at the buffet were great. The room was clean and the bed was comfoartable. The pool area was beautiful. The staff was very efficient.

United KingdomThe bar area is a little cold due to air con. Other than that there wasn't anything to complain about.
Stayed one night here in Jan 2025 visiting Santo Domingo for the first time. The hotel reception staff were able to converse in English which helped so much. The hotel has a buffet restaurant, bar, gift shop and swimming pool with its own snack bar. The rooms are standard with fridge, safe, iron and iron board. The bathroom and toilet were clean. Shower and bathroom have both bars of soap and soap dispensers. The hot water and pressure in the shower is excellent. Car Parking is available if you have a car. Nearest Metro station is just 3 min walk away. No problems getting an Uber from the hotel. I would consider this hotel, situated where it is as excellent value for money.

The hotel is good but the rooms are a little old and dated and it probably does need an upgrade. The room is big and comfortable enough though. The hotel has a nice pool and the gym is also good and quite well equipped. The location isn’t close to any of the tourist attractions but Uber is very affordable so it was easy enough just to uber places.

The room was nice, but would be better without the carpet. The pool looked very inviting. I expected slightly better quality knowing it was from the Barcelo chain, and comparing it with the Barcelo Bavaro Palace (Punta Cana), which was superb. Breakfast choices were good.

Customer service from front desk are exceptional! Especially females employees they work very hard and they give the best customer service. Also, we received a wonderful service from personal of the breakfast section, housekeeping and the door service gentlemen they are always welcoming with a great smile and kindly and polite hospitality.

Dominican RepublicPool is open to people outside the hotel, thus making it less peaceful and over crowded with kids and non-guests. Not everyone in the pool paid for a day pass, many were just brought in by hotel staff members (friends). Someone should check on that.
