Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe attached "bathrooms" are rustic and a little uncomfortable (rock walls and cement floors) - only cold showers in most "chalets". Bathroom do not have an interior connection - it's a step out and step in to the bathroom. Hot showers are available in various locations - but recommend using those in the fist floor of the lodge facility. The trails and steps to the "chalets" are somewhat rough and uneven - not for anyone with mobility issues.
The Tree House Village is exactly what you'd expect from the pictures: lovely thatched open pavilions perched in the rain forest. The Staff is delightful - ready to help and to make you feel very comfortable. The zip line that is adjacent to it is one of the best I've been to. The food was "home-cooked" local cuisine - nothing fancy, but plentiful and good. Big pool in which I could do short laps. Lots of birds and wildlife around. We were there for only two nights but could have stayed at least 4 or 5. We had a wonderful stay.

DenmarkIt was a bit hard to get to the Tree House, we took a taxi from Punta Cana to Samana, and even our driver was a bit spooked by the roads for the last 15-20 mins of the drive; but once we arrived it was all great :)
The whole experience of our stay at the Tree House has been amazing. Of course, the first night was a bit scary as we didn't know what to expect when being in the jungle: bats, frogs, lizards 🦎 We stayed for 4 nights and it was great after all! We loved going to yoga in the morning, the home made food, all the games available in the lobby, the sense of community and all the evening entertainment from karaoke to dancing and the bonfire :) Honestly, we would very very much recommend this experience, just being in nature with no internet, listening to the sound of birds or the calm after the rain. The room was comfy, and we had a really nice view, of course bear in mind you are in the jungle, so don't expect hot showers. Other than that it's been great.

Puerto RicoFor starters, we paid for the taxi pf the hotel. When we arrive very late in the night, the employees welcome was awful. They doesn’t expect us and also they treat it us like we was wrong to be there. There’s no wifi, that was okay for us but if you came with childrens or plan to work, this is no the place. The food is limited, we love the food but at 5:30pm we was in the lobby to eat. People that came more late, maybe doesn’t saw the good food that was early. Per the employees, the activities like the yoga teacher are seasonal. If you want a fancy camping, this is the correct place.
If you want a relax ambient to be able to hear the nature and insects, this is the place for you!

United StatesThe beer was NOT included despite the high prices for the rooms. There are other hotels in the area with lower rates that could offer similar rustic vibe, Transfers to the airport are NOT included and was around $300. If you reserve the highest rooms to get a better view, make sure to be in good shape. I reserved another all inclusive resort in town and they gifted us a bottle of champagne and chocolate since it was our anniversary, the tree house does not have this type of gesture with their guest, they rather charge for everything.
The beach near by was very pretty and not crowded. The place is very rustic and exotic. Staff was friendly, Alex was very nice and prepared good cocktails. The massages are a must!!

United StatesThere’s a certain level of service that’s expected when you pay these prices. The facility seemed very short staffed. This was especially apparent during meal times as there often wasn’t enough food at the buffet. Items weren’t refilled as often as they should be. It was difficult to get staff attention during meal times. And the food was often cold. We spoke to other guests, some of whom went down the street to other resorts just to have dinner. We are seasoned travelers that have stayed at many eco/jungle resorts and have never come across this type of lack of regard for guests which I’m sure wasn’t intentional, they seemed short staffed in every department. For example, the confusion began at check in when the bartender was actually the one that had to check us in while in between mixing drinks for guests seated at the bar.
The location and the setting of the resort is magical.

United Statesthe location, very unsafe roads to get to this place. I had a panic attack driving to this place. Then once you get there, you feel that you have been scam because to get to the lobby is a 6 min walk on mountain side. Not Wi fi, no AC, no security in the room (unable to lock room) don't even think about bringing your kids to this place. not family friendly. My 13 year old woud not sleep in her "room" and we all had to sleep in the same bed, counting the hours so we could leave.
the staff tries, the view is nice
