Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesIt's hard justifying the cost of the Unique package. We were originally told of a 30 minute massage, which ends up being a 45 minute hydrotherapy or basically a high pressure water fountain and cold jetted pool. We didn't get any extra bottles of rum. The lobster offer is also deceiving because it is only offered on select days. We were not made aware of this and had preplanned our reservations at different restaurants. The Unique club buffet was nice with higher quality food but the food tended to be cold and there was more variety at the other buffets. The service was also lacking throughout the property. In some restaurants, such as Gondola, we waited over 1.5 hours from when we ordered to getting our food. On the beach/pool, the servers were too far and few to take our drink orders and most times you wouldn't be able to get a drink order in for a long time. While the beach is beautiful with really blue waters and a private area for Unique, there were too many vendors running through selling products. In addition, there are boats surrounding the property, often playing extremely loud music as they pass by. The drinks, property, and restaurant food quality was amazing, it is hard justifying the extra cost of the unique package when we didn't receive most of the benefits of Unique. Do yourselves a favor and book the regular or adults only, save your money. You will get 95% of the hotel with the non-Unique package while saving your money.
The property was very nice, all newer facilities. Its a large property, you will get your steps in! There were a lot of food options available with average to above average quality of food. The "Boulevard" with all the different things to do there was nice to have for some entertainment at night, including the (small) casino. The Unique side of the beach was nice to have a secluded area. Victor, our butler, was very timely and took care of all of our requests as soon as possible. The gym is really big and has everything you need. There is a clinic and pharmacy on site with everything you need there.

ArgentinaThe people working at Lopesan (besides the unique specific places) are sometimes rude. The mexican restaurant is a disaster.
The room, the unique experience, i wouldn't book the normal rooms from Lopesan. The beach is so near to the rooms, and the unique buffet is amazing.

United Arab EmiratesThis hotel was terrible from the beginning. We were here for 10 days. The staff, The security specialty vector (didn't show his badge so this is what he said the receptionists called David and katirin. The first night was terrible they gave a room that was not the one we booked and it was not clean at all. the main reception was closed. we got to the hotel at 1 and got our rooms at 3:30. Secondly the security followed my family and watched us in an uncomfortable way for no reason. On our third day I went to walk at the beach at 10 pm and there was only one security there no one else. When I came back 10 minutes later my shoe was gone and my socks were left on the sand. I went to the guest service and told them this and they didn't even look at the security camera and told me sorry it was lost we can't help you. There was no clean towels in our room and we called 5 times to ask them for new towels but they brought them the next day.
This hotel was terrible. I was here for 10 days and I had a bad stay. The only good thing was the location and the pool

NetherlandsAmazing buffet and a la carts restaurants, it didn’t feel like an all inclusive at all, I felt I was at a very expensive restaurant. The staff is super nice and always ready to help out and make sure your stay is the best it can be. Loved the pools and waterpark. Overal the best all inclusive I’ve been to in de Dominican Republic and I’ve been to quite a few. Definitely coming back again!

VenezuelaWe were able to booked at Gondola (Italian), Inari (Asian), Mareas (mediterranean) and La Boheme (French), overall, these restaurants have great vibe, specially the French, but the food quality we felt was several steps down from the region original cuisine. We never expected it the be the best but at least have some sparks. For example, At Inari, my sushi nori tasted old, and our main dish did not have a real asian flavor, and that day it was really crowded and the service was not the best, we didn't even order dessert. Italian Gnocchi and Lasagna were fine, and French was normal, we don't even remember what we ate there 3 weeks ago, so I think was forgettable. But I have to say that there were some dishes we really enjoyed, like the Chivo (goat), Cordero (lamb) and Cerdo (pork loin), Paella, fish, all from the Atlantic/Caribe buffet and the sushi from Unique buffet was also great.
Lopesan was an extraordinary experience, we stayed for 6 days for our 7th anniversary in Unique side, 3rd floor, 3363, and since the day one we were treated kindly. The staff was really nice, front-desk, waiters, room services, bartenders, Marcela, Fannia, Arturo. Special thanks to our butler Daniel, was very caring person, added so much to our stay. The facilities are really new! There were so many pools, the beach front and the sun rises were amazing, the gym is huge, food was good (see dislike section). We truly enjoyed our vacations there and definitely come back again :) Our favorite places/moments were: the beach with some margaritas, the Unique breakfast (smoked salmon, little cream pastry and chocolate donuts), the foam party in the main pool and the Bavaro caffe.

ColombiaJust as a recommendation, it could be a good idea if the hotel had a couple of push chairs (strollers) available for rental. The airline lost ours on the way to Punta Cana and the walks within the hotel are significant. Also, if you are looking to party all day and night this probably isn’t the place for you.
It is a beautiful hotel to stay, wonderful and helpful staff, comfortable and very clean place. The restaurants are very good and the food surprised us with its quality. Lots of bars and pools. The kids club is very lovely and the nanny’s too. Babies’ pools and water park are amazing, it’s a very kid-friendly hotel.

United StatesThe hotel and the rooms are very noisy. It is hard to get a good sleep unless you consume tons of rum. There is a public beach nearby with a restaurant (Jelllyfish) which regularily runs loud events until 1am. Especailly, if you are a Unique club guest you'll hear them very well when you don't want to. We even asked to relocate us to quiter non-Unique Club building. Room service staff appear at their will, not when you ask them to come. Someone started to drill in a room next door when our litttle one had his daily nap and they did not stop it despite multiple demands. The hotel is very big and very crouded. There is always a lot of seaweed in the sea. Some staff is good is trained, some saff is not - and you never know which one you are going to meet today.
We could not have survived this stay without our buttler Jose Luis. The food was ok.

United StatesThe shortage of wash cloths….that’s it ☺️
The Unique experience plus our butler Rafael took our trip to the next level! being a unique guest gave us exclusive perks to restaurants, pools, a beach area, and even a complimentary massage. Rafael was the absolute best. He went out of his way to accommodate our requests and even decorate our room for our anniversary. Make sure you book majority of your dinner reservations before coming, the Mexican and Inari were Favs of ours. The staff was very nice to us especially if you’re nice to them. The swim-out suites are a must to experience…you won’t be disappointed.
