The locks on the balcony are not really locking... although there is security there all around, it felt unsafe to leave pur belongings there, we still did though. The attention to details is missing a bit.

I loved the facilities and pools, the kindness of the host and the whole area which made you feel like in a luxurious resort!

The place was very spacious, aircon was powerful, full kitchen with big fridge and everything I needed. Miguel and Susana are very friendly and accommodating, also vey helpful with tours and recommendations. Can't recommend them enough

The bathroom plumbing needs repair, the toilet seats were falling off. Breakfast included a meat omelette, which is not suitable for vegetarians.

A beautiful secluded complex with access to all pools, sunbeds and activities. The service is friendly, it was nice to talk to Miguel and Susana. Susana was friendly and used a language translator to explain everything about the complex. She also helped us stay longer in this place.

One request that I made to the owner, maybe they will provide in the future with a electric kettle in the kitchen. It is much easier to heat the water for tea or for the soup with an electric kettle than at the gas oven.

The apartament is very spacious, clean. The resort is amazing, with 4 large pools, gym, plenty of beach space and excelent entertainment every evening! The apartament has a mosquito net when opening the terrace which is great to get fresh Air inside without being worry about mosquitos entering. I also liked that there is a grocery store with everything you need only 10 minutes walking. The owner let me keep my luggage until 6 pm at her place on the day of my leaving which was very helpful!

The room was not cleaned properly, especially the glasses that they had for water.

The apartment is part of a hotel so you have everything that the hotel has the only difference is that they have good included and you don't. Is better that you don't because the food quality that we were seeing was terrible. But also on that note bayahibe village has not many options but at least the food is very good. The room is very good and spacious. Dominica beach is 10-15 minutes away, so you can have beach and pool experience booking here.

The place is simple, nothing fancy, but functional. The resort has shows every night and it can feel noisy for those looking for a quiet place - things calm down at 10 pm or so.

Susana is an amazing host! The room had pool and ocean views and even a place to sit outside it. The air works well and the bed is super comfortable. The sunsets are priceless. Many places to it in the resort of in town and Bayahibe. Blu Cafe is great for breakfast!

This wasn't necessarily a problem for me, but I'm guessing the water was boiler based, so if the showers are longer, the water might get cold. It's so hot in general though, that I didn't consider it an issue, but maybe it might be for some

I loved it here. The apartment complex is amazing, it has 3 separate pools, all that are orientated where the sun sets, so the view is simply amazing while you also get to swim! And they also have shows on the weekends. It also has great security and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was exactly like in the pictures, and as a woman I highly appreciated they even had a bidet!! The owners are amazing too, they even went out of their way to offer me coffee every morning and any questions or requests I had they tried their best to accommodate me! I had a great time here, would come any time back!

We didn't like the fact that through booking check out was until 12 o'clock and the owner of the apartment warned us upon arrival that check out was until 11 o'clock. Already before 11 o'clock, the owner was waiting outside the door. We were missing a microwave oven there.

Very nice environment, we were in an apartment, which is located together in the hotel area. It is possible to use all services for payment in hotels. It is close to the swimming pools and three of them are filled with sea water. The fourth is freshwater. Nice umbrellas, a sufficient number of sunbeds on a sandy base. Since the hotel is on a rock, there is no classic sandy beach and the entrance to the sea is via stairs. However, this does not detract from the attractiveness. Parking outside the building is charged 24 hours a day.

Puddles of water formed on the balcony after rain or from condensation of the AC, difficult to evacuate the water. When sitting outside we were easy pray for the numerous mosquitoes :-)

The apartment is nice and spacious, has a well equipped kitchen with good set of pans, glassware and utensils. The internet connection was really stable and quite fast due to fiber optic connection to the ISP. It came as a bonus to us that we could make use of all facilities of the Whala! Resort (except for the food and drinks obviously); we enjoyed some of the shows and dancing events organized by the animation team. Various large swimming pools, mostly with salt water (big +++); but we preferred to go snorkeling in the crystal clear water of the Caribbean Sea, accessible via platform with stairs. The balcony provided a nice private outdoor space, with a glimpse of sea view and overlooking a nice wild/uncultivated piece of nature.

The room was really not clean and many things should be improved. The kitchen was great but all the dishes was very very dirty. There was cleaning sponge "10 years old" with lot of dirt and dust. Water tap is dirty and hard to control. We needed to wash and clean everything before use. In the bathroom was everywhere old dirt as well, unfortunatelly. The shower tub was not clean as well, with old dirt. The water tap in the bathroom had bad stream of water and only cold water. A toilet brush was missing. The owner of the apartment said, that he can manage to do everything if we would ask him, but, theese are all things that should be ready before we arrive and that we should not ask for, it should be "matter of course". We would ask him, if something gets broken during our stay, but why we should ask for toilet brush if it should be normally there? The same with washing the dishes, it should be washed and prepared well already, etc... The TV has only Youtube and Netflix connection which sometimes does not work. No local and satelite channels available, but it was not a big problem. Just to let to know to others. Other apartments were maintained and repaired during our stay, so in the morning in the neigbor apartment some workers were loudly beating and drilling into the walls!! Another day some workers were cutting some wooden boards in front of the other neighbour apartment. And another day some workers were painting the balcony beside even during the night! This everything should not happen when guests are in the apartments around OR somebody should come to us and ask, if it is OK for us when they will do some work during our stay. We are people who can do manual work at home and we are used to hear sounds of cutting, drilling, beating, and we understand that the work must be done once, but it shoud not happen in the hotel where guests are accomodated without letting them know in advance.

The place is very good and safe. Security guys are 24 hours a day in front of the main gate. Inside the areal are amazing swimmning pools with sea water, which is very clean and well maintained. There is as well Jaccuzi with sea water. Amazing views to the sea from the swimming pools, bar and restaurant on place. In the private area is located a shop with souvenirs, cosmetics and some other things you may need and in this shop is ATM for cash withdrawal, which works well and is safe to use. In the room was prepared big barell of water (as the tap water is not drinkable in Dominican Republic) and it was no problem to order another one when we consumed the water. This was very cheap and good drinking water, if you go to the shop for bottled water, it is very expensive. The public beach Dominicus is not far away, about 15 minutes walking. But don't forget to take some drinks and food to the beach, there is nothing to buy at the beach (only some souvenirs). Generally, this apartment was very fine, we enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and in a good environment around with palms, trees. birds, cicadas, lizards (some of them were "visiting" our balcony as well :-) nice nature, But this place and way of accomodation is not suitable for everybody. If you like silence, clenliness, privacy (in front of the balcony is the path where sometimes other people walking aroud as it is the ground floor), it is not for you here. For us it was generally very good place and we liked it.
