Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesA small pool would have been nice but considering they people come to the Galapagos for tours etc it wasn’t a major issue.
Beautiful waterfront location made the necessity to take a water taxi acceptable and almost fun. Staff was terrific. Especially Ennio, the manager, was extremely helpful and accommodating, even brought us personally to a meeting point for a tour.

United StatesWow, the entire team of employees make it a well-run Inn, built from a great collection of 1st family homes in a compound that is second to none within the Galapagos. Incredible accommodations in the Orion room with fantastic views of Porta Ayora harbor. Loved having an included breakfast with the little Finch birdies. I could’ve stayed for months and never miss the world outside of the Galapagos.

United StatesWe loved so many things about Hotel Angermeyer! The staff was always present, very helpful and friendly. The quadruple room was perfect for us. It was big enough (one huge king bed and two twins) for us parents and our two young-adult children & our stuff. The hotel provided two pitchers of water a day (for drinking and brushing teeth) and they will refill anytime at the bar which is so convenient since you can't drink the faucet water at any Galapagos accommodations. Our favorite part of Hotel Angermeyer was the view and wildlife from the restaurant and dock. Breakfast was really good, but we more enjoyed seeing sea lions, sharks, crabs, rays & more in the water just below us and we also enjoyed the birds: pelicans, Darwin's finches, Galapagos mockingbirds & lava herons we saw from the property. Our most regular entertainment while enjoying food & yummy drinks was watching the very patient lava heron on the rope to the dock (can see him on rope in attached picture). We cheered when he finally dove in and caught a fish. Hotel Angermeyer was an excellent home base for our daily excursions (Santa Fe Island snorkeling with sea lions, Highland Tour & Tortuga Bay). Easy to grab a water taxi for the short ride to town for these day trips, shops & restaurants. Other info: If arriving by plane from mainland, you'll need $100 in cash for each person to get into Galapagos Island (park fee). Then, take a bus ($5 per person) to a ferry ($1 per person) to a taxi (plenty there - $25 total) to the pier where you'll catch a water taxi ($1 per person) to Hotel Angermeyer. Bring lots of cash with lots of smaller bills (5's & 1's). Angermeyer takes cards for room, food & drinks, but you'll still need cash for lots of things. Something we went back and forth on before we came: full wetsuit or shortie - definitely go with the full wetsuit in late May! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Hotel Angermeyer!

United StatesWe had breakfast included with our reservations. Breakfast was fresh and we had multiple options to choose from. The locations of the hotel required use of a water taxi but it only cost $1 and runs continuously. Everything about his hotel met my family's expectations.

United KingdomWe requested a seaview room for 3 ladies staying toghether. The Tropic Bird room with the extra bed was very spacious, with it's own balcony. A very convenient location with it's own dock, so very easy to get a water taxi ($1) into town. Roof top viewing, so we could wave off our intrepid sailors. Dining room right on the water, breakfast was delicious with at least 3 varied choices. Evening meal was also delicious. An easy walk to La Crevitas. The Finch Bay Resort and small beach is a 5 min walk. The Friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable staff. Who also organized our assisted transfer to the airport.

United KingdomLiked everything!
We were so glad we booked this hotel. It was absolutely stunning. We were in the Southern Cross room at the top of the hotel, and it was gorgeous. Views on two sides of the harbour/sea/town, spacious and everything you need. The restaurant next to the water was really lovely, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend splashing out for the best rooms.

United StatesAwesome location and amazing staff. From our server, Coral, who was great and so very kind to our concierge who was most friendly and extremely helpful, he arranged for our airport transportation and was on top of everything to make sure we were well accomodated. Also, our driver from the airport, Tobirio, was very nice and attentive. The food served by the restaurant was one of the best in the island, nice quality and so fresh, same goes for the drinks. I loved the location because you can only get there by a short boat ride which gives you a nice separation from the busy island.

The location was as good as it gets. The staff was amazing. The food was great. The breakfasts were "OK". The biggest drawback was the internet. It was basically useless. We were told that it is the same all over the Galapagos. However, we did find a hotel that the internet was consistently excellent. If wifi is not important this is a great choice.

Absolutely loved this hotel, from catching a water taxi to their own pier, to allowing a free late checkout and with a room and restaurant both with water views. It felt like an experience and a world away from the main town (although it’s only a couple of mins in a water taxi).

CanadaThe bathrooms are a little small and dated, a few cracked tiles etc.
The restaurant patio is stunning - so beautiful to sit by the water and watch the boats in the harbour and the frigate birds overhead. There's a short walk to a quiet cove beach with great swimming. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, although the bathrooms are a bit dated. The staff went above and beyond to be friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay, I highly recommend the hotel.
