The staff owners were lovely and hospitable. The hotel is very cute and my room was very comfortable. The breakfast was included and was wonderful.

Needed a stay close to the airport for an early morning flight. Hosts were fantastic! We arranged for them to pick us up from the bus station, sadly it was an hour late but he waited for us, amazing! We had no wifi and couldn’t communicate, we were so relieved when we saw our name on his sign🙏then they made us an awesome dinner when we checked in. The room and facilities are awesome, super clean and very comfortable. Cannot recommend enough!!

Excellent hosts, went above and beyond to care for our needs. We mentioned that we are vegetarian and they went and extra mile to serve us organic, hot homemade delicious food. A little close to the airport so you hear air traffic coming and going... but not horrible.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. I incidentally arrived early and that was no problem. They got me checked in and I was able to order a meal on arrival which was excellent. Staff speaks both Spanish and English. Room was comfortable and pleasant. The site is peaceful. Wifi worked great. TV worked great. They were able to shuttle me to the airport late in the night.

10 min drive to the airport, the couple also picked us up and dropped us off to the airport for $10 each way. Lovely big room with a garden view. They also had a jacuzzi onsite however, we didn't end up using this. The food was good and the place felt like home.

The hosts are nothing short of amazing. I think the pictures online are not as good as the reality (how many times does that happen?). Daniella was so friendly, as was Oscar we just spent more time with her. We felt 100% safe walking the neighborhood, the town has some beautiful murals, people were friendly. I was assuming there would be much more airport noise than the reality. I am a lover of dogs so Max and Odie were welcoming additions. Juice with breakfast was worth the price of admission. We were picked at the airport for $10, how easy is that?

Unfortunately it’s a bit difficult to get to and though not far from many of the things you may want to see in the old part of the city it’s a steep walk down hill and a steep climb back up to the the hotel, which we did only once. After that we took a 5 min. taxi ride each way. Also, I was surprised that there was no outdoor seating for guests to enjoy the view of the city which is what you are paying for. Service is minimal but the staff is helpful.

Close to the airport and timely shuttle by hotel. Wonderful hosts who even cooked for us after 9:30pm arrival. Quiet and relaxing except for occasional air traffic noise.

The dogs tend to patrol everywhere in Ecuador and nearby this hotel, as well. I was unlucky to be bitten by a dog when walking in the street nearby in the evening. I got luckily only a minor surface scratch on to my ankle. Thanks to Daniela and Oscar even this uncomfortable experience was handled with extreme professionalism and empathy. They first cleaned the scratch with antiseptic liquid and contacted then a doctor. Daniela took a picture of my ankle and sent it to the doctor as well. Then they sent me to a hot shower and advised to clean the wound with a soap. And after that I was served calming tea to my room with big calming hugs. Of course I was advised to follow, if the scratch would turn red or start to swell, but nothing fortunately happened.

The owners of hotel Apricot, Daniela and Oscar are an amazing couple: so helpful, kind and knowledgeble. They really want you to enjoy your stay, and give you a good bunch of ideas what to do. I stayed there two nights 20-22.1.2025. My room was just beatiful and spacious and the shower so nicely hot. The location of the hotel just next door to the airport is perfect. They give you a pick up service and take you to your flight even on the early hours of the morning. Breakfast is fresh and sufficient for a good start of the day. Beer is served icecold.

Nothing - everything was excellent.

This is a great family run place. Oscar and his wife are the friendliest couple and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Room was spacious with a great shower. WiFi is fast. We enjoyed a pizza and a beer and a satisfying breakfast. The airport pick up is great and very convenient. We really enjoyed our one night stay.

Highly recommend! Super clean, comfortable, convenient location close to the airport. The host was very kind and made sure I had everything I needed for my stay including airport pickup and an early morning drop off. Unfortunately I was only here for a quick stopover between flights, so I didn’t get to enjoy the property more but I will definitely be back!

The proprietors met me at the airport at midnight and took me back to the airport the next morning at 06:30 for an early morning domestic flight, even waking earlier to cook me breakfast. Their hospitality and kindness was truly outstanding. Their hotel is charming, an a 10 minute drive from the airport.

Very minor things only because I’m asked to review,…The beds are harder than I prefer but was good for my husband. The rooms could use some hanging picture or decoration. Breakfast was eggs and a roll with juice and I would have liked to see some cheese or sliced meats for the bread or even peanut butter as and option as we were only offered jam and I don’t like sweet things. You can hear the airplanes and the owners dog. This didn’t bother us but may bother some travellers and they may want to have earplugs.

The host and hostess were accommodating and kind. They upgraded us to a second room for free on arrival as we have two large adult children and they had extra room. Pick up from airport was easy and included. Communication with host was rapid. Accommodation was clean and as pictured online. Breakfast was provided and included fresh guava juice and very tasty coffee. It truly was a pleasant stay.

Nothing not to like. It’s close to the airport so you will hear planes from time to time but that can only be expected, they’re not too loud.

Nice spacious and well maintained property. You can wander around the lawn outside and may even get joined by the very sweet dogs. The hosts were so kind and generous. Flawless airport pickup, well appointed little room and delicious breakfast in the morning.
