Breakfast did not start till 8 am, and if you are leaving early, there is no take away option. There was a lot of street noise in our room. You had to ask to have the room cleaned. There are lots of stairs to get to the hotel and within it with no lift.

Location easy walk to historic part of town.

I paid with my CREDIT CARD and was charged a SURCHARGE of $10 in which the website in BOOKING.com not mentioned & received a private message confirming what I booked for $45.10 and was charge on CC $55.02. BED (mattress) hard, a FIREPLACE-non working, on/off switches broken, SAFE-non working. SUITE facing a old building across. I complained to the Manger in charge and stated he would check on the problems never got back to me. BREAKFAST-horrible NO LEMONS for tea, NO BUTTER or JAM for the 1 roll of bread. The area is very sketchy at night don't recommend for foreigners this place. Checked out 1 day ago and still haven't received my receipt via email, took my information & never sent my receipt. Poor Management run. 0 ⭐

The size of the room was small, but there were 3 beds squeezed in there. There's a hostal behind this hotel that had a loud party going on until late at night. But hey, it was carnaval.

We had 5 people in 1 room; two parents and 3 teens. The hotel seems new or recently remodeled. Every time we were around the facility someone was cleaning or polishing. VERY clean! The beds were very comfortable. We had good WiFi, immediate hot water in the shower. They gave us a towel, little soap and shampoo for every guest - not always typical in Ecuador. Breakfast was included with our room and it was delicious. EXCELLENT service by all staff, including the kitchen. The location cannot be beat. The hotel is in front of a Metro station and trolley stop. We parked our car in the hotel's secure lot and took public transportation everywhere. There's a delicious pizza place on this little street, if you can overlook the decor inside.

The location is just in walking distance to the historical center and some other interesting sites. I was amazed by the fact that they had USB chargers built in for us Europeans forgetting the proper adapter. The room was not equipped with a hair dryer, but very helpful staff lent it for use. Breakfast was really fresh and tasty

Worst mistake in 2 months in the region

The hotel cheated us and the staff's reaction was to shrug. We booked a junior suite, what was supposed to be a large room with a spacious bathroom and a fireplace. On check in, without any explanation, we were given a 6 square meter room with a tiny bathroom and a window facing the loud internal patio. Literally the front door would snag on the corner of the bed, because there wasn't enough space. We politely complained to the receptionist that this wasn't what we had booked and paid for, but he only shrugged, said that the hotel was full, and tried to gaslight us that the room we were given was the junior suite, while it looked nothing like the photos and had none of the amenities we expected. The man was rude and dismissive, and lied straight to our faces. I showed him the booking description that said the room we had booked was supposed to 18m2, and he had the balls to look into my eyes and tell me this meant 1.8m2 and that it's what we got. I can't even. It was 7PM on New Year's Eve after a 12h travel day, so we had little choice but to stay in the cramped room. Of course the hotel reception blasted loud music until 5am and refused to lower the volume "because it's the new year's." You're a hotel, your one job is to give your guests a place to sleep, no matter what day or occasion. In the morning, the breakfast was the worst I've gotten in 2 months traveling in the region, one scrambled egg with dry bread, coffee-coloured water and a slice of wilted watermelon. Now the location. The area is SKETCHY as hell after dark, not to mention right off a main busy road. If it looks conveniently located between the old town and Mariscal Sucre on the map, just know that it's neither, and you'll need a taxi to get anywhere.

    Nada

After a very friendly reception, I parked my vehicle in their secure parking lot and checked in. The suite was very large, clean and comfortable. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the shower was hot and high pressured. The room was very clean and quiet throughout the night. I had an excellent sleep. The free morning breakfast was perfect with scrambled eggs, a bun, fruit and a coffee. Overall, this was an excellent stay at an excellent and comfortable hotel.

When you get to Quito and are suffering from the altitude the stairs at this hotel are just very difficult. The staff did help carrying the suite cases. The staff we had at the desk were very unhelpful, to the point the guy in the great little Pizza place on their street did far more to help us out. We speak very little Spanish but get by with some Google translate and the help of patient locals. The front desk seemed to not want to spend the time to communicate. They have some nicer rooms I am going to assume but we got a tiny room on the top floor that was about the size of a prison cell and had all the same charm. The bed was terrible I felt like I was falling out of it most of the night. We stayed the first night and then with the help of the owner of that great Pizza place got a cab and escaped. You also have to pay cash this is a hostel pretending to be a hotel because they have bathrooms. To be fair if I were in my late teens to late 20's I would have found this a great adventure but at 51 it was just terrible. So for young travelers looking to travel on the cheap this would be a good fit. A hostel with your own bathroom. I paid for three nights as they collect upfront in cash. When we took off I just took off without asking for any back, as the thought of dealing with the front desk was not worth the money. It really had the feeling of a prison escape so I guess they gave us a thrill.

On the first few floors they have some very nice wood work.

The manager was threatening and we were women traveling alone. You have to carry your bags up two flights of stairs to get into the hotel and breakfast was 4 more flights of stairs. My room didn't have a window, so no air flow. Terrible. I would never stay here. They made us pay with cash and charged us more than the booking reservation. Super unethical!
