Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe hotel is located about a 10-minute walk to the main part of town near the pier - away from all the nightlife noise yet a short walk away from all the shops and restaurants. The staff was great, especially Jonathan, who really went the extra mile to make my stay pleasurable. There is also a beautiful brand new open air kitchen up on the 3rd floor, complete with fridge, stove and cooking utensils. My room was large, comfortable and kept clean and tidy daily. Lots of hot water available for your shower after a day spent hiking and snorkeling in the beautiful Galapagos.

Belgiumits a bit far out of the center, although it was worth making the walk :) we had the room on top, right next to the kitchen - which is quit loud. windows are super thin, so you hear everything people say in the kitchen … it also got suuper hot in that room / under the roof, but the airco did fix that :)
suuuper nice hotel. its brand new, so really nice & well equiped big kitchen with good utensils good shower !

GermanyThe kitchen was on top floor and access is via a spiral staircase. This was inconvenient. The location is quite away from the centre but taxis are easy to find and reach centre for 1.50 usd.
The property was clean and well kept. The beds were comfortable. TV and AC worked well. There was water dispenser with hitand cold water. The receptionist provided map and recommendations.

CanadaThe internet is too slow or sometimes never works. However, be aware that it's everywhere on the island even if you have Simcard.
It is an excellent Hotel. I highly recommend this place. They provide you with free water which is very normal on the islands. It won't let you down

DenmarkThe Wi-Fi is not good, but that is the same for the whole Galapagos Islands. We wanted to stream the newest episodes of House of the Dragons, and we could only do so between 1 am and 5 am, when the majority of the Island is sleeping, and not using the internet. This has nothing to do with the place we stayed.
It was, despite its location, very central to downtown/harbour front. We appreciate a cheaper place, that is still within 15 minutes walk to the main interest points. This place offered everything we wanted and desired. The staff was very helpful and accommodated us in every way possible, that made our stay a wholesome, fantastic stay.

NetherlandsA night lamp would be nice. But that's a small detail.
Clean, nice rooms. Simple but everything you need. Very nice kitchen we could use. The hotel owner was very helpful. Even picked us up when we were walking around and dropped us of at the hotel. Helped us with booking a ferry to an other island. Great stay :)

United KingdomOur favourite place we stayed on the Galapagos, we extended our stay here as it was so lovely. The staff are really helpful, friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, spacious and modern, the price for this standard is usually much more. The kitchen on the rooftop was well equipped and a lovely place to hang out and have breakfast and dinner. Our rooms were cleaned with fresh towels everyday. Free drinking water and really good WiFi for the Galapagos!

United KingdomThe wifi is quite bad and disappeared on our last day there, however that does appear to be a problem all over the island, also the room we had near the road could be noisy at times
It is super clean with brand new rooms and facilities, the staff there are really nice and always ready to help you with booking tours and taxis. There is always hot water with great water pressure, plus a really well equipped kitchen that doesn’t seem to be mentioned

NetherlandsOne of the rooms was missing a wardrobe.
Very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed there twice when we were traveling from Santa Cruz to Isla Isabela and from Isla Isabela to San Cristobal. Both rooms were very clean and spacious. Hot showers! The accommodation is somewhat further located from the center of Santa Cruz than other hotels, but all within hiking distance. Due to the location you also see how locals live (markets, restaurants, etc), while Santa Cruz center is profoundly focused on tourists.

United KingdomBest value for money by far in Puerto Ayora! It's all new and fresh, very clean and very safe. Hot water, room is cleaned daily, shampoo provided. The kitchen was amazing, very well equipped and free drinking water too. The location for us was perfect, being backpackers and on a budget meant that we saw more of the cheaper places to eat than there are in the town.

IrelandWe loved our stay at el Arco de Darwin. Our room was super clean and new and the shower was lovely and hot. Jonathan was a very helpful host and gave us lots of recommendations, his brother Wilmer also brought us on a tour of the island and did a taxi trip to the airport. The accommodation is a 15min walk from the main area and the roads are busy and well lit. Can’t recommend our stay here enough, it was brilliant!

GermanyYou have to take taxis everywhere but its only 1,50 $ per ride so not really a big problem.
At first we mainly booked it because of the low price and the few good reviews. We were pleasantly surprised how new and well maintained the rooms were. The rooftop kitchen is a huge plus but is nowhere to be found in the photos on booking! The owner has his small office in the ground floor. He was very kind and help us out with booking tours or giving us advice. He also drove us to the port in the morning of our last day! During our stay the hostel provided free drinking water to fill up our bottles. Not sure if that's a requirement on Galapagos ;)
