Usually there was no hot water - just chilly for a refreshing shower but not good for washing long hair. When I asked, they somehow fixed it with the boiler. Thaks for that!

Great location, half block from Tranvia stop. Very cozy athmosphere in a colonial style building, rooms are located around the inner courtyard and there is a restaurant in the middle. They offer daily lunch menu (almuerzo) for 3 usd which is good and very popular. Bathroom was a bit dated and had mold damage, but still clean.

Upon check in the hotel attempted to charge us 10 USD more than booking.com's advertised price was for cleaning fee that wasn't mentioned anywhere. We declined and began to leave, and they dropped the fee down to 2 USD more so we agreed to avoid finding somewhere new. We stayed one night.

The hotel was right in the center of Cuenca, with all major sights within a short walking distance. It has great bars and coffee shops nearby and the area feels safe. The breakfast was decent and the room was good. The staff was very helpful and for $3 you can order a lovely lunch most of the days.

There could have been a showerhead on the showerpipe. The toilet seat was cracked, I had to put a piece of tape over it so it didn't pinch my butt.

Room only has one small window that opens up to the hallway, so if I open it to get some ventilation, I have zero privacy because anyone walking past my room can look inside. The alternative, which is to close the window makes the room feel very stuffy as there is no AC or fan. Bathroom is tiny and it's hard to move around without bumping into the toilet or sink. Clearly, the room needs some TLC, as there as pieces of stucco missing from the wall and the creaking floorboards make it extra noisy.

Great location right in the city centre next to the main square and to the tramway line that connects with the airport. Very reasonable price and safe area at night. Check in was quick and the place was easy to find. The room was ok, bed was big and comfortable and bathroom was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately a very noisy shop outside was blasting EDM music and it was impossible to get a shut-eye before checking-out.

Toilet seat had some slight red stains. Likely of someone's menstrual cycle. For that reason I give an 8. If it was'nt for that I would have given a 10.

Downstairs rooms very dark, and rooms small, with furniture crammed in (TV on top of wardrobe, or desk) – in part because of the structure of an old colonial building – upstairs rooms lighter, but the windows looked out onto a shared passageway/interior balcony, so no privacy. Bathroom tiny.

Excellent location, friendly helpful staff, comfortable bed and good breakfast. Also – though not included in the price – a fantastic almuerzo, served in the patio. Tasty and excellent value.
