We only had two hangers for my husband and I to share. More hangers and some hooks on at least one wall of the bedroom would be very helpful. A small bar of hand soap for the bathroom sink would be appreciated.

The breakfast was exceptional and our group of seven so enjoyed eating it on the patio surrounded by lush vegetation. The staff was always friendly and welcoming. Maria went out of her way to accommodate our needs as we were traveling with a young toddler.

I would give 20 stars if I could! This place is an absolute gem in Mindo! Quiet and peaceful, yet in walking distance to town. Breakfast is delicious. Fantastic location. Super clean facilities. And the staff is probably the nicest staff I have ever met. Very helpful, attentive, and patient. We absolutely loved this place!

The location on Google maps shows the location as being on the wrong side of the road. We arrived after dark on foot, and we ended up walking right past the entrance the first time. No other complaints!

We loved everything about our stay! There might be more luxurious accommodations in Mindo, but I wouldn’t dream of staying somewhere else if we return in the future. Everything was so clean, quiet, and beautiful. It felt like we had the place to ourselves! One huge plus is that you really don’t need a birding tour if you stay here, we saw so many beautiful tropical birds and even had a few coatis scurry in front of our cabin. Staff was always helpful and going above and beyond, and the breakfast truly is exceptional.

I liked it all.

The location was very quiet, perfect for listening to and watching for birds. The gardens were exceptional, with so many varieties such beautiful landscaping. Natural but organized. Walkable distance from the town. Very quiet. The pool was great for the kids. Easily accommodated our large family group. Lovely group gathering space in a main floor lounge. Our host was exceptional. She was helpful with her knowledge of all the popular spots, with accommodating our family’s needs ( including changes of our plans), booking taxis, etc. The breakfasts were generous and delicious, and beautifully presented.

Super peaceful, but a short walk to town. We saw toucans from our room every morning! Water was hot, shampoo and soap in our rooms and very attentive and helpful staff.

The family that run Mindo Real are exceptionally thoughtful and helpful. We liked them a lot. They provided lots of information on arrival & throughout the stay in person & via WhatsApp. The location was great for us. 10 minute walk into Mindo, but on the edge of the forest areas with the river at the end of the garden. Lovely & quiet with a decent sized swimming pool. Breakfasts were also very good. The beautifully landscaped gardens were full of interesting plants which attracted lots of birds.

This was an amazing hotel, owners upgraded us upon arrival. Breakfast was amazing, location was perfect close to town. Owner helped with all communications for local trips. Wish I could have stayed longer! Mindo is amazing!

The nature and the surroundings are beautiful. Great breakfast and helpful staff, they are so nice and welcoming. Just enjoy their beautiful garden with a cup of coffee in the morning. Super clean rooms with the best showers I've had in ecuador. You will get good nights of sleep because it's so quiet at night. There is so much to do around mindo real. My favorite was the feeding of the colibris. You can do it yourself while they eat out of your hand. And I loved the hiking trails of the yellow house. I liked it so much that I returned a week later to spend another 4 days in mindo real.

One word of caution, the swimming pool tiles are very slippery.

A lovely riverside garden property with a genuine cloud forest atmosphere. Our cabin was surrounded by flowers and birds. Only a few minutes walk from downtown town. Best breakfast we've had in a months travels through Ecuador. Staff were exceptionally helpful with pre arrival communication, recommending activities, guides, long distance drivers and calling taxis. And laundry service at the end of the week to top it off.

The location is excellent. Short Walking distance into town and close to all the activities. The grounds and landscaping are beautiful and lush. Grounds are well maintained and everything is clean. The staff are amazing not only professional but friendly and offer assistance before being asked. Maria is beyond excellent. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The cottage is worth it as you can hear the river flowing from your room and it’s so relaxing to help you sleep.

- not recommended to walk to the property when it's dark. There's a large, dark driveway. When walking there I encountered a stray dog. Luckily the staff came to collect me after I contacted them on Whatsapp.

- very attentive staff, always keeping an eye out for you and advising on activities. - great freshly-prepared breakfast - nice swimming pool - beautiful garden - excellent housekeeping; they even organized my mess better than I ever could!
