Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesBy Ecuador standards this is an exceptional hotel. We were in the second tower, with an ugly view, but it was quiet and very comfortable. The ground floor has many small shops, a park immediately across the street is worth walking in relaxing in, and restaurants are in easy walk nearby. Recommended.

United StatesHousekeeping. Upon arrival (4 of us) we had only 2 towels in the room. Had to ask for extra two towels. Also, somehow, our room was not cleaned the next morning and I had to ask for fresh (dry) towels again. Not a big deal, but in a hotel like that you do expect daily housekeeping service. Also, the rooms felt very baren, since there are 4 white walls with not even a splash of color: a nice art/wall decor/pictures would be nice.
The hotel is centrally located: it's overlooking Iguana Park, and only 3 blocks from Malecon. Not sure why people call the area around the hotel "unsafe" zone. It's totally safe and it's what real Ecuador is. If you feel so unsafe around the hotel, than may be you should stay home and travel from your couch by watching Travel Channel. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and everything is by European/American standards: from English-speaking staff to the amenities (great A/C, fast internet, strong unlimited hot showers). The beds are super comfortable. The breakfast was the best in whole Ecuador: it's buffet style breakfast with multiple options for hot dishes (omelletes, tamales, sausages, potatoes etc etc), cold cuts, fruits, cereals, sweets etc etc etc. Plenty of options. I was really impressed.

United StatesThe customer service here is very very good. It's safe and convenient. I came here alone and was a little worried about the safety problem. But when I came here, all the fear gone away since I met Cesar Arriaga. There is one photograph of him on the official website of Unipark Hotel. Thus, when I enter the hotel and saw his smile face, I thought I went to a friend's home. The feeling is so good. Also later, Cesar Arriaga provided me with a great help. He is so nice. Also, Simon is very good and full of patience and responsible.

I went to this place and I didn't like it so they transferred me to the Pro Verde hotel which is the big one. Be aware that gym is under construction and no pool but they were professional and sent me to the main hotel.

EcuadorThe room was smaller than average. Finally and most importantly, access to the room was very inconvenient because of the unusual layout and design of the hotel, which is incorporated into a shopping hall.
The sheets and pillows were very comfortable (which is a plus for me). The location was also a bonus as it was close to places we needed to be. The highlight was the Spectacular Breakfast Buffet that was included in the price! Additionally, dinner at the restaurant was terrific.

United StatesFront desk staff were limited in their English language proficiency on this stay. Did not understand what I was trying to tell them. I speak good English. A couple of the employees in the restaurant had better English than the front desk clerks. Had nice room location on 10th floor overlooking the Park. But pillows were hard and uncomfortable. The three dispenser bottles in the shower for shampoo, soap and conditioner had defective pumps. The ac temperature control was broken. Once you turned on the AC it was frigid at the lowest setting. The temp control knob was broken and spun freely without traction.
Excellent restaurant on premises. Good food for all meals, including breakfast buffet.

ItalyUnfortunately, there was a very loud party on the third floor, and we were staying on the fifth floor. It made it impossible for us to sleep. We called the receptionist during the night to request a room change, and while she assured us she would look into it and call us back, we never received a follow-up. As a result, we couldn’t get any rest. I strongly suggest avoiding hosting parties on floors close to where guests are staying overnight, as it significantly impacts the experience for those trying to rest.
The hotel is very well-located, right in front of a beautiful park where you can see plenty of iguanas! Nearby, there’s also the famous Cathedral, which is a must-visit. Our best experience, however, was meeting Fatima, the lady at reception. She was exceptionally professional and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The day after, after the party incident, which disturbed our sleep, she sincerely apologized for the inconvenience, allowed us a late check-out so we could rest, and even arranged a taxi (for free/no payment) to the airport for us. Fatima is truly the star of the hotel! She approaches every problem with a solution-focused mindset, and her efforts are greatly appreciated. I hope she gets the promotion she absolutely deserves!

United StatesStill no bacon (as they used to have.) We got our own coffee, not waiting for the staff. One paper napkin, though I gazed at the cloth napkins saved for lunch and dinner service. You now have to pay about $15./each to your room rate, for the breakfast.
There were some choices. It was fresh. Nice coffee. The omelette station was operational.
