Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Excellent location, very central. Great living room, very quiet, spacious, good books. Staff are very responsive (during office hours) and there is an emergency number in case.

FinlandOnly slight niggle was somewhat noisy surrounding area in saturday evening. But that party is what you often get in oldtown during summertime. Somebody might not like climbing stairs to the 4th floor, but for us that was a bonus. 😅
Excellent location and very comfortable, spacious and cozy apartment. Kids liked it and parents too. 😊

United StatesThe need of curtains to block the light
A very nice apartment located in the historic district that is also very close to a supermarket. The apartment was clean and comfortable. I was very pleased with all the communication facilitating both our stay and check in. Our only issue that the lack of curtains especially with all the summer daylight. Otherwise, I would rated rated this place a 10

United StatesAs others have said, the staircase is steep and narrow, but we were able to get luggage up and down okay. Without luggage it was fine and was good to get some extra exercise. We couldn't get TV working, but we did not contact host for assistance, and did not really miss it.
The location was so nice. It was great to be near the beautiful old town and yet so quiet in the apartment. The appliances worked well and the kitchen was well appointed. The apartment was roomy. It was a pleasurable stay.

United StatesAside from one of the bathrooms lacking a sink (and really there is another sink in the kitchen), there is nothing to find fault with this apartment.
It's so rare to find a place that ticks all the boxes. This place was a trifecta. First, it perfect location in the heart of Old Tallinn (in fact right next to a museum), but off the main square on a side street, and also the entrance is from a locked courtyard, so it is very quiet and residential-feeling. On top of that, there is a private courtyard just for apartment residents in the back. Second, it is stylishly and comfortably furnished - the beds were comfortable, there was plenty of space to lounge and stretch out and catch up on reading or to wait out a thunderstorm, as so happened within an hour of our arrival. There is a fully stocked and separate kitchen, a dining table with seating for eight, and a large comfortable and modern L-shaped sofa in the living room. There are TWO bathrooms, and although one does not have a sink, it has a sauna in addition to a shower! And the other bathroom has a washer/dryer. There are also beautifully cared for plants and large windows to look out onto the courtyards. Third and finally, it was a great value and price for this location and all these amenities. I could imagine myself living very comfortably here with one or two other people - with plenty of places to retreat to or to congregate.

United KingdomThete was nothing we didn't like ... but for a group of 4 female friends there was a lack of mirrors !! A full length mirror and a socket near a mirror would make it perfect especially for hair drying and makeup application ! But ... we managed and it certainly didn't hamper our weekend
The apartment was in a perfect location so close to all the Old Town attractions . We had very clear instructions as to how to get and return keys and very good communication from Tallin City apartments via Whats app messages during the stay . There was tea , coffee and toiletries in the apartment which was very nice and the beds were very comfortable . It was just perfect for our trip to crlebrate a friends 60th birthday and on top of that we were there during medieval weekend.

United StatesNo lift! No air conditioning. Shower was a bit difficult to get in and out of. Think it would be a great idea to have a non slip mat in the shower for safety reasons.

RomaniaAccess to apartment is not very good, multiple doors and not a very welcome area- same entrance as for the basement. Apartment is at a former basement space that was very well refurbished. Apartment doesn’t have AC unit, and only one window opens to an inner yard. No parking recommendations - best nearby option is at Comfort Hotel - it is a public parking for 10 EUR/ 24h
Spacious and at a walking distance 15’ to city center. Clean

CanadaThe living room windows opened out to the street. There is a bar across the street was fairly noisy late into the evening. The bedroom, however, at the courtyard side of the apartment was not affected by the noise from the bar. There wasn't a microwave oven.
The apartment is centrally located in the old town. Perfect for touring around old town. It is very spacious, well appointed and clean.

United KingdomLots of different lock boxes/codes/keys took a bit of getting used to, and a fiddly key. While out for the day the bathroom would become slightly pungent (not our fault! dubious pumbling?) and needed airing out when we would get back.
Great local vibe and lots of space. Location impossible to beat. Would stay here again!
