Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The staff was marvelous. Very well educated lady. Had a great chat about translation and linguistic. Much appreciated. Situated next to the harbor, 5-10 min walking distance to old town. Every room is for one person, well secured and really warm. It’s not a dorm, not like what it has described in the page. — a wonderful surprise I have to say

You should probably fresh up youre windows. when the wind from the see at -10 degree is facing youre window, it just goes through and gets reallyyyyyy cold inside. I thought about buying duct tape but when the wind left it was not in need any more:D
The got the best workers inside. Just so nice, like they are real humans and dont want to make monney out of you

Three of us have booked three separate rooms. In hostel they announced two of us have to go hostel31. They have overbooked and offered something else. Total rip off and fraudent advertising. I never will go that place and neither should ypu.

However, the rooms are tiny and not very comfortable. The wifi in the rooms is very sketchy, I was without wifi during a large part of my stay. It simply didn't work about 1/3 of the time. I would recommend staying here 1 or 2 nights, and only if you are not going to spend any time there.
The location is good, the price is good. The hostel is away from the road, so I was able to sleep with the window open. There is a kitchen downstairs, which seems all right. I didn't use it. The bathrooms are small and cramped, but clean. They work. Felt safe, despite the flimsy doors and locks.

The drains in the shower were semi blocked and drained very slowly, so I had to shower in a pool of dirty water and a wad of floating hair. I ended up clearing it myself. The sink in the bathroom is so small it is impossible to lean over to rinse and so on. There was poop on the toilet seat and stuck to the sides of the toilet bowl for the first day and a half. This one wasn't cleaned until a female staff member came the next day. Even air crew clean the toilet multiple times a sector. Everything smelled dirty. The first impression walking into the room was terrible sweat and body odour smell. It is as though the room has not been thoroughly cleaned for a long time. The window couldn't be opened and there is only a fan, which saved me. No AC. They offered to change the room via a message online which I didn't see until it was too late. The change was offered for the window, not for the bed or smell. I am sure it is vacuumed after use but the small mat was filthy and probably hadn't been deep washed clean for a long time. The bed smelled of sweat, the bottom sheet had a hole in it from being used so much. It was worn thin, which is okay I guess, if the bed was clean and comfortable. The bed was a board with an old sponge mattress underneath another old mattress. It was so uncomfortable I ended up dragging the doona (no room on the floor for the mattress as well) onto the hard floor in the hope of getting some kind of rest. It didn't work obviously. And even a slight movement in bed was greeted with loud creaking from the base that was endlessly frustrating. I hardly slept the entire stay. The impression was that the people managing the premises, as nice as they were from the minimal contact I had, do absolutely as little as possible to get by.
The staff were nice enough. The location is very convenient.

Run down and very shoddy. Lights not work. Curtains serve damages bathroom like much hotel run down. You get what you pay for. At least front desk lady friendly.

The location. It situated nearby C Terminal, and the street isn't so quet, however, once I looking such location, in the Central part of town, it's expected,and ok. Room is way small, no shower, no wc in a room. In addition, door is same thin as a paper sheet, and in a room you can hear every single noice. Bunk bed, quite old, the walls between numbers are made of hyprok (paper+concrete)

The rooms were not very clean. There were only two shared bathrooms for all the dorms, which were quite dirty. Overall, the cleanliness of the place wasn't great.
The beds were fairly comfy and the location next to the harbor was great. The staff was pretty friendly
