Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Read it before on the other reviews and will just add to this. The person running this place is very cute. Like visiting your grandmother. She was really nice and helpful and let us even change the room.

LatviaThe floor creaked. Only one bathroom to be shared with other guests. We got wet in the rain before arrival but our clothes did not dry until morning.
It was possible for us to arrive after the usual check-in hours. There was a place outside with a roof to store our bicycles for the night, so they don't get wet. The kitchen was fully equiped with a table and four chairs to sit down for a meal.

AustraliaLocation was on edge of town, 400 m from nearest bus stop. Buses were infrequent. Bedroom was on one floor and had to go upstairs to the toilet and downstairs and through four doors to get to the bathroom.

EstoniaLooks like it is not an accommodation facility, but someone's private house where some rooms are rented out. No obvious signs outside the house to identify that it is correct place (later noticed small sign on the fence). Average location - not in center of city: 20-30 minutes walk from train station, bus station, shops. Shared bathroom: - two toilets, - one shower for all rooms. No bath robe nor slippers provided. You took your shoos off after entering the front door of the house. Shower on another floor. No air conditioner in the room. No ventilation system in the house. Slow WIFI. Probably bad sound isolation between rooms (this time was quiet, but may be a problem if there will be noisy guests). No euro standard renovation (facilities are old, some from soviet time).
Price/quality ratio - very good. Was really cheap price for a whole room, so if it is more or less decent then no reason to complain at such price. Friendly staff: showed/explained everything at check in. Away from bus station, but some busses pass near by. Two bus stops (Tartu, Kampus/Tolli) were 5-10 minute walk away. Peaceful green neighborhood - no passing traffic or other outside noises. Shared kitchen: refrigerator, water kettle, microwave, dishes. Room size good (for just spending a night or hanging out in a room 24/7).
