I suppose it is probably a cultural thing, but I am accustomed to tea being available more regularly in hotels, with kettles in the room - I knew it wouldn't have a coffee maker from the listing but wasn't sure about a basic kettle. It is probably an expectation I have coming from a British tea-heavy culture! The room was a little bit too warm for me and my partner (both coming from humid climates and preferring a slightly lower temperature to sleep), and we couldn't figure out whether the air conditioner, if set low on full fan, was actually doing anything, or if it was more of just a heating system. We kept the window open for most of the stay as a result just to keep the temperature down a little bit. Not really a huge deal, but it was a short ordeal of several minutes discussing how the thermostat could potentially work.

The staff were all friendly, patient, and helpful with any questions we had during the stay. The cleaning staff in particular were very polite and helpful to my partner while we were there. The small mini-bar at the reception was also very handy for getting drinks when we didn't necessarily want to go out to the shops, or as a quick "grab and go" for a bottle of water for heading into the Old Town. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic - really helps you feel clean after a long day trudging up and down hills. The location was very handy also - a quick walk brought us to Kiek in de Kök, the main attraction I was keen to see, as well as a short walk from the Seafront to meet some friends before leaving.

the hotel is currently undergoing renovation but it was not mentioned during the reservation process. It did not disrupt our stay but something this be aware of.

The shower space is very small and has nothing to hold the water so the whole bathroom gets soaked when you shower.

I would have liked a bit more healthy options for breakfast. Fresh fruits and vegetables.

Location is ideal to explore the city. However it's not too crowded. The room was big and comfortable.

Everything was good , no negatives

Excellent location , very short walk to old town and all main sites , plus bus from airport drops you literally outside . Room very cosy , small but perfectly adequate and also underfloor heating in bathroom made for very nice experience especially after a day out in the cold. Finally the receptionist Anni was extremely helpful and courteous and also facilitated early check in and keeping luggage safe . She is a great asset to the hotel.
