Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryMail staff at the reception was a bit weird for us, only the minimum communication.
You can park your car safely in front of the hotel building, and everything in Kuressaare is in walking distance. Rooms and beds were not large, but comfortable for us and served their purpose. Breakfast was OK.

FinlandSewer smell from the shower, shower a bit untidy, staff male didn't speak anything to us. Room is a bit in need of renovation.
Good location close to main street, but quiet, parking in front of the building, mini fridge in the room, common balcony. Breakfast quite basic, but enough.

HungaryThe receptionist was very dour, but to give him the benefit of doubt, the language issue might have been at least a part of it. The beds were uncomfortable and the room lacked black out curtains
The location was great, easily accessed from the highway and close to 'downtown', located on a quiet street. Breakfast was adequate

PortugalHmmn, where to start… As a summary first up, pretty happy to pay about 40 for this place, but we could not believe what we got for 72 for a mid-week night at the end of August. On Google Maps, Repo appears to be more of less convenient to the Bussijaam and the town shops, except that the neighbourhood is distinguishable for very little, and some connecting roads and footpaths to town are rather adventurous. The Reception is unattended for lunch until 1500. There were no places open to eat lunch until you get to the town centre. One of the attached photos shows the double bed up against a wall. Unless you are about 20-something, you won’t want that. The mattress in this bed was without support, so one of us got this hammock-like effect; fantastic for people with back problems (kkk). The other single bed, also hard against a wall, and covering a power point, was similar in `comfort´, but with slightly less sag being a single not a double. The foot end of this single bed was the only place where I could get decent Internet reception, and then only if you angled the bed away from the wall to catch the signal from the router outside the door. Good for your neck to sit on a chair with the laptop on the bed... Now it had been raining all morning, and while the temperature was about 17º, the air outside and inside was damp and cool. Certainly not possible to dry anything, and closing the windows made for a stuffy and humid environment all evening and night. No portable heater is provided. The other attached photo shows part of the bathroom. Some guests might enjoy(?!) the throne effect of the toilet, others could find it dangerous. Then there’s the squeegee that you have to use to try to remove excess water from all over the bathroom floor after a shower, wiping the excess with the bathmat. Really cool for guests who cannot afford to slip over.. Plus the floor rug was not clean.
Breakfast was straightforward for what you get in an Estonian B&B. OK. Quiet and no problems with car parking.

IrelandBreakfast, smells in the house, quality of towels.
The hotel is very dated and the kitchen smell and cooking go through. Probably needs new expelair. Bedrooms very dated, towels had to be asked for. Breakfast was very limited , cheap cereal, hard boiled eggs, very little fresh.. should be only 2.5 stars .

FinlandMy one-day stay at the hotel was somewhat marred by the desk staff, who appeared incompetent and struggled to locate my booking. Unfortunately, my experience at yet another hotel was disappointing, as it lacked proper ventilation and the bathroom was too small to accommodate basic amenities. Moreover, sitting on the toilet was uncomfortable, as there was limited space and I had to do so at a 45-degree angle. The breakfast experience at this hotel was puzzling, as it lacked any semblance of organization or thoughtful planning. It seemed as though a random assortment of items was haphazardly thrown into bowls, and a few slices of meat and cheese were provided. The presentation was outdated, reminiscent of the 1950s, further detracting from the overall experience.
Overall, my one-day stay at Repo had its ups and downs, but the friendly (albeit a little slow) staff and convenient location made it a somewhat enjoyable experience. My one-day stay at the new hotel was highlighted by the great parking location, an okay overall location, and a fairly nice-looking hotel.

EstoniaThe rooms don`t have air conditioner, so you need to keep the windows open. Just take some earplugs if you are not very fond of seagulls singing behind you windows.
Cozy and decent tiny room that had everything essential. Good location, only 10 minutes from bus station, city centre couple minutes walking. Breakfast was fair enough -porridge, boiled eggs, sandwich material plus fresh fruit and sweets :)
