Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainIt was under construction so it was a bit dusty and they were doing some noise at some point. I understand that is temporal and since I think we were the only guests there, I understand they chose to do it then. The bed in one of the rooms was painful.
The views. The breakfast on the rooftop and the ladies serving it were always really nice.

CanadaThe mattresses were horrible. Springs sticking up all over the place. We left after 2 nights instead of 3 because of this.
A 4 minute walk from the pyramids. The breakfast on the terrace was good. Loved the view of the pyramids on the terrace. Convenient in Giza. Felt pretty safe to walk around there day and night. Didn’t mind that it was a pretty plain room for the price. Good AC.

CanadaA little pushy with upselling tours and such, and while the camel ride through the pyramids was nice, I was forewarned that I would have to pay the pyramids entrance fee separately, but ended up paying for two people (I assume for both me and my guide) which was unexpected.
A bit hidden but a great location just a super quick stroll from the pyramids with an amazing view from the rooftop. Room was quite spacious and clean with AC and all the amenities you would need, and breakfast on the rooftop was just magical. Ali was quite nice and asked me to right a review 😛

Bosnia and HerzegovinaBut infrastructure inside is not so good. Both valves for water were broken, toilet seat also. There is a lot of mold in bathroom. Also there were some guest/residents in night banging on some doors and yelling names.
Location and staff were good.

ItalyThe location is a 10! Just 5 min walk to the ticket office for the Necropolis of Giza. Staff is friendly, and they accommodated both my check-in and check-out time. The building looks like under construction in some parts, so there's some dust, but the room was very big. Bathroom OK. Breakfast (Egyptian style) is also OK. Good value for money!

BrazilThe breakfast place is outdoors, at summer can be really hot and sometimes the smell from the camels and horses downstairs can reach this place. The hygiene from the plates and cutlery could also be improved. No drinks are included in the breakfast. The drain of the shower was clogged since the first day, we tried to ask to fix it but nothing was done. When we're about to leave the hotel, we're several times asked to seat and do a good review in front of the receptionist.
This is a good example of "you got what you paid for". The price is super cheap in comparison with any other accommodation in Cairo. The room is really big and has space for all luggage, it got an AC that works well. You can change your money at the reception for a good rate.

AustraliaI called up before I booked in to select a very specific room in order to cater to my needs because I was very unwell from the heatstroke, I also specifically selected the room on the website with what I required and which was a double bed and an air-conditioner. For my first night they booked me into a different room because the one I selected wasn’t actually available, and the aircon didn’t work in properly in there, I spoke to Ahmed and he then upgraded me to the ensuite and that was super lovely. However, the next morning they once again moved me into the wrong room, and I moved rooms thrice before they actually put me in the room I asked for which was not available until 3pm. Honestly, these kinds of things happen and I’m not usually one to kick a fuss but it was just a bit hard to deal with because the sole purpose of booking this room and all the effort I put into ensuring it was in fact the room I would be getting was because I really needed to go into a space in which I could let my body rest after one of the hardest and most painful sicknesses I ever experienced, and was still experiencing, in and amongst all these room changes. However, after that I was in the room I booked for the rest of my stay and I was very well looked after and I do really want to emphasise that the staff put in every single effort to fix the problem
The staff were really lovely and did their very best to accommodate my needs, Ahmed was especially helpful, he went out of his way to make sure I had something to eat after a late arrival and checked in on me each day to see that everything was okay (I was suffering from severe heatstroke the day before I arrived). The view of the place is amazing, and it’s super clean and cosy with great facilities. A shoutout to the four gentlemen working there, Ahmed, Mahmoud, tahir, (and the last forgive me I’ve forgotten your name brother!)

United KingdomThe shower drain was almost completely blocked, so you end up flooding the bathroom everytime you shower. The bed was really uncomfortable, old and bent towards the middle, very bad sleep and you wake up with back pain. Also they tell you breakfast is at 8 am, but than it takes them 30/40 minutes to get ready and prepare it, even though you are there early. If you say 8, it needs to be 8. The whole village as you exit the door of the hotel smells a lot with horses and camel waste, not ideal for sensitive noses. 😅
Location is good, near the Sphynx entrance. The room was clean and good furniture. Nice view of the pyramids from the room window and roof top.
