Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Asswan, I already miss you! I stayed only one day in Asswan and it was the best solo travelling experience ever. The hosts were so nice and helped me to plan and prioritize the excursions as I had only 1 day. The stay at the Nile Palace is so great, the rooms are clean (thanks to Mustapha), it was so calm day and night. You can hang out in the open space or by the pool, there is a kitchen where you can prepare your tea/coffee for free. The hosts will guide you through anything you need, they can deliver food (if you were lazy to go out like me hahah well I was really tired), they gave me the contact of a taxi "Mr Magdy", he is a very kind man and he took me to the downtown and the train station for a very reasonable prices. You can order a Tok-Tok too, it is a great experience. And of course I cannot not talk about the magnificent view from the palace roof top (the view is amazing from anywhere in the palace, but the rooftop....), it was the best sunset that I have ever witnessed in my life, the sun going down and its orange/red lights reflecting on the nile waters.. It's just amazing.. In the end, I really want to thank the hosts Koholes, Mina and Haris, the taxi driver Mr Magdy and Mustapha for being helpful and nice to me.

UkraineGreat views from the windows and the terrace, amazing welcoming personal - so far the most professional in Egypt we met. Everything is clean. The room and bathroom are private. Be aware that the lounge room, terrace, swimming pool you are sharing with other guests. Fridge and kitchen are in the living room. Washing machine is available on the terrace

NetherlandsJust know that you have your own room and bathroom, but living room/kitchen/terrace is shared, booking wasn't too clear on that. But it's fine. Also, the neighbourhood is still being developed, so there were minor inconveniences with the power and water being it off shortly, but Hares was on it quickly!
We had made 3 separate bookings at this hotel, due to different available rooms and a night in between in Abu Simbel. I want to make 3 seperate reviews and 3 good ones. Because they deserve it. Firstly, it's a nice hotel with a shared living room/kitchen/pool/rooftop terrace. The view is amaaaazing. You have got everything you'd need and more. But the best, the most amazing thing and the reason they deserve all the good reviews, are the people. Our host Hares was so calm and friendly and suuuper helpful. He took care of everything, from arranging transport to ordering food and he is such a nice person overall, we had some great talks! Then the owner, well, I got really sick one day (allergy) and (also with help from Hares) he basically saved me and guided us the whole afternoon in the hospital, made sure I got the care I needed. He is the most caring person there is. This for us was amazing and even though we had a very tough moment during our stay, these people make it one of the best memories we have from Egypt.

BrazilHowever, the rooms were disappointingly dirty, with a noticeable amount of dust. While I understand the challenges of maintaining cleanliness in Egypt's sandy environment, it still impacted my comfort.
The rooms were spacious, the property was beautiful, and the view was stunning. The reception staff were accommodating, even with my late-night arrival.

AustraliaPersonally only stayed here as a layover arrived in Aswan late at night however the owner sorted out a pick up from the airport to hotel and took the time to call after we landed to make sure everything is smooth and also Hotel staff member Carlos was waiting for us on arrival and was extremely nice and gave us a tour and really explained everything. Would have loved to spend more time

NetherlandsOnly that on booking it was not totally clear that it's a shared house with kitchen, swimming pool, roof terrace etc, with your own rented room. It's spacious enough and this was totally fine.
In total we had three bookings at the hotel within a week (due to different rooms and an intermediate night at Abu Simbel). For this one, we stayed in a spacious room on the second floor with a great view from the window. I want to write three great reviews, because everything was actually great but one thing in particular: the hosts Hares and Kerolos are AMAZING! Firstly, they will arrange everything perfectly for you, from food, to a trip to Abu Simbel, transport by car, boat or tuktuk, everything for fair prices with people they have selected at fair prices. Secondly, they kind of saved my life when I had an allergic reaction to peanuts across the river. They collected us, took us to the hospital, called in extra consultants and stayed with me until I was back home and sleeping. I trust these people with my life, and I do not say that lightly. The warmest welcome I could have ever imagined and a great hotel with a killer view!

NetherlandsOnly thing: it's not that well specified on booking, but it's a shared house with swimming pool and roof terrace in which you rent a spacious room. There's plenty of space though and this was totally fine.

BelgiumYou have to realise that this is not a hotel but rather an appartement, they don't offer breakfast for example. They did arrange a car for us from the airport and asked if we wanted to go to a supermarket so we could get something for breakfast. There is also a kitchen with everthing you need.
The view from the roof was AMAZING. The staff was really helpfull making our stay and exploration of Aswan that much easier because they helped us get around and told us what was good to visit

United KingdomThe fact that it wasn't clear on sharing kitchen and sitting room with other people staying in same place . Also we arrived late at night and road into apartment was a dirt road and very scary. However they did explain aftwerwards this road will be renewed soon after gas pipes will be installed.
The staff were just amazing Mostafa ,Mohamed and Mina and made everything so easy for us. They went out of their way all the time and no request was too much for them and responded eithin seconds always on hand to help. I would recomend it again for a large family visi if you didnt want to share with strangers.

AustraliaThe air con in the room didn’t cool the bed below it, so my partner ended up sweating all night & I felt too cold. It doesn’t circulate around the room very well.
The view from the rooftop is incredible, sweeping views across the Nile, can’t beat it! Hamas was super helpful, we arrived late in the afternoon & wanted to visit the Nubian Village. He organised a pick up & drop off taxi for us very efficiently at a great price. The swimming pool was a nice touch after exploring in the heat, it was lovely & cool!
