Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Host was pleasant and helpful. Stayed late on our check-in date to make sure we made it in. Beautiful view of the Nile River and valley from the balcony. Nice rooftop lounge area.

AustraliaThere were a few mosquitos in the area, would recommend bringing some repellent
The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly, they helped me alot with getting around Aswan. The villa is stunning, with breathtaking views and the perfect getaway from the busy hustle of Aswan without being too far as it was only a short tuktuk ride to the city center. Staff responds almostnimmediately to any concerns or questions!

EgyptThe location is not central. However, we asked the host to arrange the transportation for us, and we didn’t have any problems.
I loved this place so much! The view is exceptional, you can see all the colors of nature from your balcony! Reading a book or listening to music while enjoying your cup of coffee in your own room is just like heaven! Ahmed is super friendly and helpful, he ordered food for us and helped us to arrange some city tours and trips. The room was spacious and spotless clean. You can always ask for extra sheets or pillows if you want.

RomaniaThe location was far removed from everything in town and if you're a breakfast person, nothing much than coffee available and you need to go to into town for something more. Something we didn't like is that there was no bed covering on the provided blankets, which were the only bedding available for covering.
The view from our room (and from the living area and of most of the rooms but not all) was amazing, something to remember.. It's why we booked the place and it didn't disappoint! Also, quite quiet for Egyptian standards - no road noise at all, on one of the nights there was loud music somewhere around our building until 3 in the morning, but nothing some earplugs couldn't drown. There was coffee and tea available during the morning. Food could be ordered by tuc tuc (although not every time). Tuc tuc was a convenient and cheap way to get into the city center. Host was very accommodating, very responsive, promptly answering messages and available to order a tuc tuc or a taxi for us any time. Don't try to organize your own taxi here - the hotel is on a small, steep, unpaved road and it is difficult to find using the maps location.

United Arab EmiratesThe location is a little bit difficult to find, but the staff was very helpful to guide the driver and wait for our arrival.
Although it was late for me to look at the view of the property, but the place is exactly looks like like the photos. A quiet and cozy place to stay. Also, the staff explain everything about the place and guide us through the whole stay.

United KingdomSo people know this is not a Palace or a hotel. More of an apartment block with self catering kitchen. No reception. Location is out of town with no facilities near by. The area more like building site, with many unfinished buildings, dirt road and no taxi knows where it is.
Great views of the Nile from our room and roof top terrace. Haris were very friendly and helpful. Room was large but bed only had bottom sheet and no top sheet, just a blanket.

NetherlandsI read a lot about the location, but that's really cancelled out by the view. If you want a city central hotel this is not for you.
The view is fantastic. The owners are superb, the hotel is a bit out city but they can arrange dinner via a couple good restaurants (and believe me,they're good). The location is quite good, it's central for visiting the obelisk and the philae temple. Also free water/kitchen providid

NetherlandsThe only downside to staying here was the location. It's an up and coming area, so the hotel was located in what my partner took to be a construction site - his face as we were driving to it was a picture! - but in actual fact it's just that the building of various hotels etc is ongoing, so there is the occasional construction noise, but otherwise it was great.
Another hotel booked for the view alone. And what a view! We spent as much time as feasible enjoying the view from the roof, but also from our room! We arrived much earlier than our allotted check-in time, as we travelled to Aswan via the sleeper train from Cairo, but that was not an issue for Kamel. We were met by Waheed who took the time to show us the views and helped me fix a coffee for us (I finally know how to make Turkish/Egyptian style coffee, thank you Waheed!) while we waited for our room to be ready. The hotel is more of what we English would call a guest house. Guests have their own room with bathroom - the beds were comfy, extra sheets made readily available, and curtains kept the early morning sun from our eyes! - but there are also multiple spaces for guests to spend time in (with amazing views!) and a kitchen that we were welcome to use to prepare food. There's also a pool in the basement - which was a tad too chilly for our English blood! The wifi was great and accessible throughout the property. Kamel in particular was wonderful, helping us to order food, some beers, taxis... It's a shame he is leaving (but also congrats on the new job) as he made our stay perfect.

NorwayThe hotel is located in an area with several building under construction, road is not paved and the hotel has no sign so it was therefore hard to find for the taxi-driver, so recommend to let Kamel arrange transportation. The Google address is however accurate so you will find it using Google Maps. We also walked to/from the hotel to Aswan (25 min) without problems.
Fantastic view, comfortable/clean/spacious room and extremely friendly and service minded host (Kamel) and staff, available 24/7 in person and by WhatsApp. Fantastic view from the roof with comfortable sofas where we enjoyed a beautiful sunset and a good book. Recommended!

CanadaOne thing to note that did not bother us is the fact that the hotel is situated at the middle of a bumpy dirt road. It can be difficult for some taxis to reach or find it, but if you go through Kamel to book your taxis then there’s nothing to worry about.
Kamel is a wonderful host. Extremely responsive, he’s available 24/7 for any request you may have (taxi, restaurants, tour, advices, anything really !). There’s no Uber in Aswan but Kamel is there for you :) The view from the hotel is beautiful, perfect spot for sunset. Shower works great and has warm water, rooms are spacious. Overall we would definitely recommend staying there if you’re spending a few days in Aswan. It’s a little further away from the business of the city, the quiet is nice but you’re still only a few minutes drive from the main area.

NetherlandsThe apartment and area are " works in progress". Due to lack of proper streets our driver struggled to locate the place initially. Also, no signs or boards up to guide us. However Kamel was easily reachable and assisted us in getting there. We believe the area has so much potential and hope to return one day to experience it again!
Probably the most stunning views of Aswan we've seen! A green haven! Kamel, our host, was very helpful and friendly. Apartment is spacious and family-friendly.

United KingdomThe Villa was initially hard to locate. Directions need to be given via Aswan Stadium and then the taxi drivers can find it more easily. Kamel is sorting out teething problems as it is a new let property.
Kamel who looked after me during my stay was exceptional. He was INCREDIBLY helpful and arranged lots of additional matters which were nothing to do with the Villa. A true gent and made my stay in Aswan fantastic.
