We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaOur rooms were dirty and housekeeping was not done. Hot water was patchy and the TV did not work. For both our stays we had to ask for clean sheets and soap. It’s a budget hotel in sketchy neighbourhood - standards of cleanliness is quite poor in Egypt so best not to compare with other countries. We were out for most of the day so it was just a place for sleep and a shower. Food in the restaurant is awful. We had coffee and dinner - both awful. Best to go around to the Pyramids hotel for a meal or a local coffee shop for a cafe.
Nice view of the pyramids. Lovely Egyptian breakfast. The two ladies who made breakfast and coffee were nice. Staff were generally polite and responsive .

United StatesMy friends and I paid extra money to have a pyramid view room. Once we got to the room, we found out no pyramid view. We called the front desk and told them about it, they said they didn’t have no room available with the pyramid view at the time. They should have let us know while we were checking in. Plus the AC in the room was working and the wifi is terrible. After you check in, an employee harass you to book excursion with them and overcharge you. They also lied to us saying that we need a PCR test to leave Egypt trying to charge us $50 each person. Fortunately, I contacted the airlines and asked if we needed the test and they said it wasn’t necessary. The only good thing about this hotel is the employees treat you very nice, making sure that you are welcome and happy. Also, they pick you up at the airpot for free if you stay over 3 nights but charge you $35 to drop you off at the airport. Hire another drive to drop you off at the airport for the half of the price.
The employees who works at the restaurant, luggage service and the manager were fantastic.

PhilippinesI did not like everything in the place. From the people to the facilities. In front of the hotel, there parked the camels, horses and donkeys that causes disgusting odor until the rooms. It literally made me sick and bad sinusitis. People just want money and tip for everything. Price for food, and for the rides are stratusferic and you will feel obliged to tip them.
Nothing good but just the view from the rooftop.

United StatesWe booked out stay at Best View Pyramids Hotel in Giza. They have a great location and is right across from the pyramids. Besides location, they made it very easy for our transfers. They helped us book tours around the city and provided transportation. Their customer service is exceptional. Whenever we had a question or needed anything, they were always there to help in a timely manner. But their rooftop restaurant/bar!!! One of the greatest views and you can even see the night show on the pyramids! They have great food and a mango juice that is made fresh. They bed was comfortable as well as having good AC and heater for water. They went out of their way to change the language of our tv into English. Breakfast is included and it was a great way to start our morning. I visited with my mom all the way from Las Vegas, Nevada. Coming from a city of hospitality, they did a pretty well job. We highly recommend any traveler to consider booking here for their stay in Giza. We ended up making two separate reservations and it was easy to stay and change rooms. Lastly, the owner is very hands on with his property and is always looking for ways to better their guests stay. He even helped us get our clothes ironed. Our drivers Mohammed, Shafra, the server Goma, and Abraham made us all feel welcomed, taken care of, and safe above all.

GermanyCleanliness should be improved throughout the whole hotel. The staff made a friendly impression but did not deliver on the promised content of sold tours (i.e. no guides, only chaufeurs). The yard directly in front of the hotel entrance was used as stable areas for many camels and horses (i.e. was dirty and smelly). Some animal keepers booked by the hotel for tours treated the animals roughly (e.g. kicking/hitting); some animals seemed quite anxious.
The view to the pyramids; although other hotels nearby had even better views and the rooftop area (restaurant) was rather unclean.

South AfricaWe left after 3 nights and moved to another hotel, we couldn't handle it anymore. The hotel was not clean, breakfast was awful, flies everywhere. The room was not serviced in the time we stayed there. Very dusty - it's the desert, I get it but wipe up. The room also did not look anything like what was advertised on Booking.com. The staff and owner were very dodgy. They were rude and pushed us to use their tour services. No sincerity at all, when we'd refuse their services because we already had a tour guide, they'd start speaking in Arabic. We felt very uncomfortable walking through the foyer everyday. I heard the owner talking to someone checking out, charming them to give the hotel a good review with (cheap) fake papyrus gifts. I also heard that they refused to return someone's luggage without receiving a good review first. There are camels and horses kept outside which makes the entrance to the hotel stink. The animals are very poorly kept as well, not a pretty sight at all. I would not recommend this hotel.
The only thing good about this hotel is the pyramid view and air-conditioned room, that's all.

United StatesWe got there a day later due to flight issues. They charged me for the day I didn't stay there which I didn't mind. but they didn't had a room ready and tried to send me to another Hotel saying it's the same Hotel. it wasn't the Same at all. The other hotel didn't had an elevator so had to come back and argue on getting a room at the hotel I had made the reservation for. I would recommend going there first and checking the availability first.

United StatesCan't think of anything
The location was wonderful. The view of the pyramids was excellent. The staff was friendly and the food was good. We had a free shuttle from the airport and the driver showed us many interesting landmarks. There was a small repair needed in our room so we were upgraded to a suite! Large and comfortable. Incredible stay!

Australia1. The spa bath does infact overlook their restaurant, and anyone can walk up to your window and watch you literally from the other side (including those in the room next to us). So using that was outta the question. 2. They overcharged us by $100AUD when we arrived. Only when I raised this later in the evening did they acknowledge it and returned the money (not all of it, but I was more focused on the concept than anything else). 3. Perhaps it was a mix of previous reviews and my own intuition but the vibes in this hotel were seriously wrong. They advised a safe was included with the room, this was not the case (nor was it with the other rooms after talking to the guests). The lock to our room was also extremely flimsy. I would not trust leaving your valuables anywhere in your room whilst you are out. 4. Breakfast starts from 730 but the food and drink is not always ready on time. If you have an 8am tour plan accordingly. Some food was not cooked thoroughly, or leftovers from the previous day. Unfortunately I got the runs from a foul tasting dish on day 2. 5. A small amount of soap included in the bathrooms (room next to us was given none). Hot water works, but you need to turn the heater on first. 6. We reached out to them prior to our arrival asking about tours offered. They insisted we speak with them after we arrived so they could offer us "a very good price". This did not sit right with me. Lack of transparency on pricing and leaving it to the last minute so your customers are left with no other option but to book with you at inflated prices felt very intentional. We instead prebooked with a tour operator for our stay and highly recommend this. 7. The area surrounding this hotel is the furthest from the "nice" part of Giza you possibly can be. Definitely not a tourist friendly area. Try the other side of Giza if you want to be able to walk around, or closer to Cairo on the Nile.

Italythe structure is too old, too dilapidated, too dirty, the elevator is only partial, and you have to do some stairs on foot, the breakfast is totally not suitable for the price required.
the view is very super nice, you are perfectly in front of the piramids, the room I’ve choosed is nice but the price of 185USD, like I paid a Marriot room in Zamalek, is totally not explainable.
