Castle hostel exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making me feel right at home. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, with high-quality mattresses ensuring a great night's sleep. Its central location made exploring Cairo easy and convenient. Highly recommended!

I was initially welcomed warmly by a staff member and given a bed. However, the supervisor or hotel owner later approached me and insisted that if I wanted to stay another night, I had to book an entire room instead of a bed. The reason given was shocking: because I am Arab, I was not allowed to sleep in the same space as foreigners. Having traveled to over 25 countries, this is the first time I have encountered such blatant discrimination. I strongly do not recommend this hostel.

The hostel has a good location close to the downtown and that's all that's positive about it

a big thumb up to the bro working night shift on February 2, we arrived so late at night and had problems finding the entrance to the hostel, he so kindly came to pick us up and led us to the hostel and we had some fun talks on language learning. the breakfast is nice, the location is central and the room is quiet and clean. a very good place to stay.

It is an old building, like most of the buildings in Cairo, and the beds are also a bit old and squeaky. While showering, there was water pooling in the bathtub due to a possible clog, which made showering a bit difficult. However, despite this, we had a perfect stay

The employees were excellent and very courteous. They kept offering us coffee and tea. They were always there to help us with any needs. After check-out, they graciously allowed us to leave our luggage and mentioned that we could come back to use the facilities (like having tea or taking a shower) if we needed anything when we returned for our bags. Moreover, the hostel's location was great, situated just a short walk from Tahrir Square. The hostel is on the 15th floor of a building

There is no big sign outside the building, but when you found it, is easy to go inside

The room was big and with a nice view to the city, it was also clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and always open to help with questions about the city, they also help us booking a day tour to Saqqara, Giza pyramids and the grand museum, the car and the guide were very friendly and polite, it was a nice experience. Last but not least the breakfast is good and they have always tea and coffee for you

It’s too loud. The environment is not convenient. Downtown Cairo itself is too crowded. All the cars use their horns too much. You will hear people talking next door. No toiletries available in the hotel. No heater in the shower. Tries to use AC for heater as it is cold at night also not working.

The rooms very confortable! Kitchen is full equiped.. the batrooms very big and clean.. The houseguest has a perfect location shimaa ,nada ,faten ,ibrahim ,mostfa very friendly peoole. They help me about tours and get uber for the downtiwn..Definitely I will return ..100% recomended.

Its was an excellent. If you are solo travelling then it's a good for you. I stay there 20 days. And I feel like a family. So I highly recommend it.

Very nice and cosy hostel. You will feel at home. The location is perfect, very close to the bus station and Tahrir square. The beds are comfortable with electric plugs and curtains. You can leave your luggage safely and explore the city. The view from the 16th floor is amazing. The breakfast is good with eggs and cheese. And most of all the staff is really kind and welcoming! I truly recommend you to stay two nights or more.
