We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

EgyptRoom furniture is too old with no bathroom ventilator and outdated tv -A lot of noises everyday start in the morning coming from house keeping guys who were shouting at each other so loudly infront of the rooms without caring about guests This is beside noises from a nearby building site which should have stopped working at least during new year vacations -They don't care about don't disturb/clean sign that no one is putting it and when I tried using it they took it from my door -When I arrived they told me in the reception we have a heated pool but they don't It belongs to V luxury hotel and I am not allowed to use it or even enter this area which is few steps from my room balcony -I have booked a sea view room with single bed and I messaged them to better find me a room far away from any noise infront of the sea as much as they can. When I have arrived there they gave me a room with pool view and 3 beds and beside house keeping guys making such noises!!! One of my worst experiences that wouldn't be repeated
The beach is very clean with a lot of chairs -A gold variety of food and drinks -Wide green areas -SPA is good

NorwayHow this resort has been rated 5 stars is beyond me. It deserves 2 stars at best, and Booking.com should seriously reconsider how it categorizes such places, as the current rating is extremely misleading. The rooms are slightly renovated, but the bathrooms are incredibly outdated—except for a few rooms here and there, which is likely where the rare positive reviews stem from. Showers barely function, with rusty screws, half-broken towel shelves, and dirty, stained curtains in the rooms. The phone in my room was malfunctioning; although someone came to “fix” it, it never worked properly despite their assurances. There was no information provided upon arrival about the resort’s facilities, meal hours, beach towel policies, or what was included in the “all-inclusive” package. I had to figure everything out on my own, which was frustrating. The gym is in deplorable condition—by far the dustiest place I’ve ever seen, and I understand this is the desert, but with so many staff on-site, someone could at least clean it occasionally. Language barriers added another layer of difficulty—almost no one speaks proper English, making it very hard to communicate or resolve issues. The food was generally decent but far from appetizing, with a lack of variety that made it extremely boring. This resort is a far cry from its advertised standards, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
The beach is beautiful—at least the part to the right of the beach bar. However, the area around the beach bar is a nightmare: super loud, bad music mixed with barbecue smoke and an all-inclusive, eat-all-you-can crowd feasting at their sunbeds and leaving their garbage behind. Disgusting. On the other hand, the far side of the beach, away from the beach bar, tells a different story. As for the resort, it used to be charming, but it’s now so poorly maintained that little remains of its old charm and glow. That said, one of the room keepers, Karim (I believe), who was responsible for my floor, was really nice and helpful.

SwedenWhen we arrived to the master suite the WiFi wasn’t working and there were old schampoo and body wash in the shower. The toilet was making noise in the middle of the night as well as the fridge. It’s right by the construction site so wouldn’t recommend this. The junior suite is much better. The night club music that was blasting on the beach every day. It started at 7 am (!!!!) by the pool and 10 am at the beach. The audience of this hotel was elderly and families so I don’t understand why? Also, 98% of the people smoked on the beach and in restaurant which was very annoying for us who don’t smoke and also had a baby. The WiFi is terrible, we had to buy extra SIM cards to get some sort of speed. They’re building a hotel right next to Pyramisa so that’s a construction site so expect some noise form that as well. Beds are not very comfortable, super hard and they feel old. There are holes in the curtains so sun came in at sunrise. Missing body lotion and conditioner in the shower for it to be a 5 star hotel. If you’re expecting a 5 star hotel you’ll get disappointed. But if you’re looking for a decent 3-4 star hotel you’ll be fine.
The breakfast was good with many options. The staff was really nice and service minded. We had to change rooms and they were very helpful in the progress.

United KingdomNow, moving on to the negatives, and unfortunately, there are many. The room we were assigned on the first night was an absolute disaster. It was outdated, had a terrible smell, and was completely impractical for families with prams, given the excessive number of steps and the single lift in the building. The next day, we were moved to a different room, but the persistent unpleasant odour continued to plague us. The room itself lacked basic amenities, such as refreshments in the fridge, and the toiletries provided were shockingly limited, leaving us unimpressed. The food was, without question, the worst part of the entire experience. It was shockingly bad, beyond unacceptable, and absolutely disgusting. The buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was appalling, and even the a la carte restaurants failed miserably. It was so bad that we often skipped meals altogether because we couldn’t stomach what was being served. This is completely unacceptable, as food is such an integral part of any holiday experience. If good food is important to you, this resort is absolutely not the place to go. To make matters worse, bed bugs were an issue. My wife, baby, and I all ended up with bites, which is unacceptable in any hotel, let alone one that is supposed to offer a higher standard of hospitality. The hotel’s images online are deceiving, as the property is outdated and does not live up to the pictures in terms of quality or maintenance. The resort is also poorly located, being one of the furthest hotels on that side of Hurghada, which made getting around much more difficult. This isolation added to the frustration, especially given that the property isn’t pram-friendly. On our last day, the water stopped working entirely for several hours, leaving us without access to showers or toilets—a disgraceful and shocking failure in basic amenities. However, one of the most frustrating aspects of the entire experience was the behaviour of the people in and around the resort.
Let’s begin with the positives. The staff at the hotel itself are genuinely friendly and helpful. They appear to have good intentions and work hard to provide decent customer service. The room provided was spacious enough, which made it easier for us as a family. The heated pool was one of the few highlights, especially for our baby, as it offered a comfortable environment for him to enjoy. On top of that, the hotel gave us a late checkout due to the various issues we faced during our stay, which was a considerate gesture.

IndonesiaMy room was pretty terrible. The curtains were old and didnt close properly, i had a view of a construction building, my sink got blocked up, the shower head was at waist level, there was mold in the bathroom tiles. Each time i rung reception i was answered with "what do you want" and usually sent the wrong thing that i asked for. I sent a very expensive dress to be pressed and it came back completely stretched and ruined. when i said something there was no appology at all they simply wanted me to pay for the service which i found disgusting. I was so umimpressed. The gym was so run down and stunk.
I liked the beachfront and swimming in the sea.
