Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Manager Mahmoud was very helpful. We looked for the hotel and wandered another place and he came to pick us up after calling. Even 2 times...He was so kind and caring customers. Hotel room was very clean and fancy with Pyramid view. I could meet some lovely cat at the balcony and it was so special experience. Rooftop was fantastic, too. I definitely recommend this place and want to come again. Can't trust this price, beautiful place. Thank you.

SlovakiaThe hotel is located in at the highest floor of apartment building we're residents live, so don't expect hotel building.
The owner is really nice, he helped me with ordering food, helped me with Uber. Since this was my first solo travel to country outside Europe I was quite scared, but I felt really safe here. The accomodation is really good, I had a balcony with the view for pyramids, bathroom was nice and clean, bed was very comfortable.

United StatesCan be hard to find but the owners will meet outside if needed. We enjoyed the neighborhood as it’s a local middle class area but some may be turned off by it.
The room was organized, clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and we had hot water 24/7. The balcony was larger than expected with a great view. The staff is friendly, Wi-Fi fast and since there are only 5-6 rooms, the shared kitchen was always open. Markets, restaurants and grocery stores are very close.

MalaysiaIt was hidden in some sort of apartment but owner will pick u up from entrance, dirty & dusty roadside however
It was located in tall building, it look dirty and dated from outside but the owner spent big money for his hotel. It was wow when I stepped Inside, cosy living hall clean and spacious bedroom with balcony. The most importantly it equipped with strong WiFi & hair dryer which others hotel in Egypt doesn’t! Friendly host even let me check out by 2pm, I’ll definitely stay the same hotel again next time!!! Just take this hotel and u won’t regret!

GermanyThe location is obviously not central, but we took Uber everywhere and it was completely fine. The value for money is unbeatable compared to downtown Cairo.
The host is very friendly and helpful. He was always happy to help with advice. The pick-up from the airport is extremely convenient. The rooms are comfortable and clean. We ordered breakfast one of the mornings and it was delicious. Served on a gorgeous rooftop terrace overlooking the great pyramid. It was also possible to get our washing done with a local laundry for a good price. Thank you very much!!!

IrelandWell placed accommodation to see the pyramids etc. The accommodation is basic, but clean. Wonderful views of the pyramids and a small communal area with microwave and cooking utensils. The building is situated in downtown Cairo backstreets, but is very safe area and plenty of shops around the corner. You also are charged local prices, not tourist prices! lol. Once you get your bearings, you can walk to the pyramids within 15-20mins, or the new Museum in about 45-50mins.

EstoniaStreets outside of the building were the dirtiest and smelliest of all places we stayed in Egypt. Some bad smell came from the bathroom every time we opened the bathroom door.
The owner of the building was very friendly and helpful, even helped us exchange our euros to egyptian pounds for a very good rate. The room was overall clean, had very soft and confrotable beds and a very good air conditioner. Nice view to the pyramids from the balcony connected to the room and terrace on the roof. Place and its neighborhood is quite quiet and the small food store was only some steps away from the front door. Building had a fully working elevator so it was also very easy to access our room. Wifi in the room was decent and could even do some video calls with it.

RussiaA little bit of renovation is needed for walls.
Nice room, it has everything we need. It was comfortable for a family of 2 adults and 3 kids. There's a view to the Pyramids from the balcony, and there's an even better one from the rooftop cafe. Hosts are extremely helpful, they really care of everything you may need. The location of the hotel may look unattractive, but I believe it's similar everywhere around the Pyramids.

NetherlandsThe hosts are really amazing, they helped us with everything during our stay and were very easy to reach. They recommended food places and helped us order some great food. Best hosts we’ve ever encountered! The property is also very clean, the furniture is nice & modern, there is also a fridge. The WiFi was decent. ADVICE: ask the hosts to pick you up from the airport! the location has no signs and you need someone who knows where it is to find it. The closest is found on Google by ‘Egy Pyramids View’ name. If you cannot find, just call/message the hosts and they will pick you up quickly. Once you know where it is, it’s easy.

RussiaGiza is an outskirt of Cairo, so it’s very noisy and dusty. Don’t expect you can walk outside, it’s a disaster.

SudanThe location : it was located on the 12th floor in an old building without proper security, the entrance of the building is dark, full of dust, it had a very loud scary elevator. It's not wheelchair accessible and my mother had to be carried on a chair over the steps. There was no washing machines in the hostel. And the picture shown above are actually from a dry cleaning service across the street. Also, I Advise anyone who books please go and see for yourself and don't pay online as I did. I paid the full amount (+600$)online before seeing the place and I immediately regreted it. I was supposed to stay for 21 nights but I ended up checking out the next morning, we only stayed for one night. Even though the manager had an non refund policy but I expected some decency that at least some of the payment will be refunded. Never mind, PLEASE CHECK THE PLACE FIRST AND DON'T PAY ONLINE.
