Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThat i only had 26 hour in Cairo.
We were on a cruise ship that docked in Alexandria at 6:30am then a 2.5 hour drive to Cairo, and toured the rest of the day. We were in Cairo for 26 hours. When we arrived at the Gaia when we checked in with Rana, she was cheerful, full of smiles absolutely wonderful. When she learned it was our 33rd anniversary, she went above and beyond to make our experience as special as possible. Later, she even came to the roof top restaurant to chat with us and engage in some friendly conversation. Rana is truly an exceptional person—she clearly knows her job inside and out. We also witnessed her interacting with another couple with two kids, and she even helped them find other activities in the area. Please, consider giving her a well-deserved salary increase or additional compensation for her outstanding service! At the roof top bar we had a young man bring us drinks and a surprise drink made of Kiwi and mint, he also was very nice and kept bringing us snacks, i wish i got his name. please try and find him and tell him thanks. then next morning we had to meet our driver at 7:30am, the young man on the roof top was outstanding with our drinks and complementary breakfast, when we checked out, Luma, was very very nice and gave us parting small gifts. All your staff and our stay at the Gaia were fantastic and went out of their way to help us, we will be coming back soon. Al and Susette

MalaysiaInterior finishing of the facilities needs a bit of work (falling soap holders, uneven drawers, unstable deco headboard) but otherwise, it’s been a great hospitality from the staffs and the cleanliness and comfort of the room)
Great view of the pyramids, if you don’t mind watching the daily lives of people of the busy noisy streets in front of the hotel.

United StatesAnything that wasn't fixed, they remedied right away, for example, the toilet seat. The shower is really, really small.
This hotel had top of the line hospitality, from welcome drinks, a free dinner, water to go everyday, packed snacks to leave for an early morning flight, to souvenirs all inclusive. They treated us like royalty. We do have a family member with a disability and thought the steps would pose a problem, but not they helped carry the wheelchair up and down. Cairo isn't the most disability friendly place, so this was welcomed. They took us on a preview tour when we first arrived and told us what to expect in Cairo It is located directly across from Mena House, so you have the exact same views for a fraction of the cost. The 1 serving of daily breakfast was enough to feed a family of 3 lol and included in the rate. Dinner was yummy And be sure to have a drink with the kiwi, it was delicious I highly recommend this hotel.

TurkeyThis hotel is really amazing, i am not talking about the cleanliness of the rooms or the amazing view of the hotel. Beside that the staff is amazing; Tony, Alex and all other staff that I can’t remember the names, they are really helpful, kind and caring. It feels like home and feels so safe and safe is the most important thing to me when you book a hotel. Me and my sister had great time here and definitely would recommend staying here. United StatesThe showers & the elevator were quite small, but this was more quirky than disliked. Didn't detract from our experience at all & only listed as an FYI. There was street noise at night, but to fair, this was during Ramadan so the whole city was bustling after dark. Still slept well & felt like it added to our Ramadan experience.
The hotel was good. Pretty much what we were expecting. An older, but well maintained building. A great value for the price. Where this hotel excels is with its staff. They were extremely welcoming & hospitable. Starting with our 2am check-in through nightly waffles on the roof w/ Alex, breakfasts w/ Tony & concluding with our 2am check-out, the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Thanks everyone!! You guys were one of the best parts of our awesome trip.

United KingdomI think that I may have got a little bit of an upset stomach from the restaurant one night, I had some rice that felt luke warm. After this I had an upset stomach for the remainder of our trip. Basically, if you order rice just make sure that it is piping hot, this was my fault for not asking the restaurant to warm it up again.
First of all, the reception staff are absolutely amazing! They answer any questions that you have without hassle. If you have ever been to Egypt before you will know anyone that talks to you wants to sell you something or take your money in some way, so it was refreshing to be able to talk to the reception staff who had time to talk to us about the different things to do without asking for tips or us feeling forced to book an excursion with them. They were also available on WhatsApp and anytime I had a question about where to visit etc, they were super speedy at replying. Our room was very nice, spacious and very clean. It had the bath at the end of the room, which was really nice overlooking the pyramids. We stayed in the panorama suite. The bathroom facilities was good. The breakfast was very nice. You can choose from different breakfast styles and they bring them out to you in the sunshine whilst looking at the pyramids. They also bring you out waffles, which are proper tasty.
