Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandThe place itself had raving reviews and our expectations were so high, but were not completely met. We had booked a room with a view of the pyramids and balcony, but when we showed up we were given a room that had zero view at all and didn't even have a proper window. We then had to explain that isn't what we had booked and had to show our booking on the app as it was not down as that. Following this our actual room was given to us which we were happy with. So just be aware there are rooms that do not have this view and make sure if you have booked it, that this is what you do get. The room itself is starting to get a little run down, with the flooring starting to come up and the air con not working completely right including the heating function, also the door to the balcony locked, but it was very flimsy and could easily be pushed open. You also need to be aware of the hot water for the shower. This needs to be turned on atleast 30 mins out otherwise you will have a cold shower. Also our expectation from the photos was that the views would be from the room itself through the window. This was not the case and you do need to go out to the balcony which is fine, but just not our expectation when we booked it.
Amazing location and stunning views from the balcony! The breakfast was so good! Especially overlooking the Pyramids. This was a definite highlight. Was really good of the hotel to pick us up from the airport and the driver was great and shared his knowledge of sites as we passed them. Also the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful especially one who went out of his way to help us contact our Uber driver who had poor English and struggled to find us and didn't even take our tip. Really appreciate him.

United KingdomThe airport shuttle to the hotel wasn't great as the taxi driver wasn't there when I arrived as he was supposed to be. So spent a long time trying to get in contact with hotel to find out what was happenig. Thankfully he did eventually arrive.
Excellent hosts. Very clean rooms. Bed was comfy. Amazing view on the balcony for breakfast looking at the Pyramids and the Sphinx.

United StatesSo much trash in the neighborhood. Our window looked over a large trash pile just a few dozen meters from the hotel. I get that it isn’t the hotels trash, but one would hope that some pride might be taken as a neighborhood to do some collective cleanup.
Excellent location. Directly in front of the ‘Sound and Light Show’ entrance, so you can see it in the evening from the rooftop. Great to wake up and see the ancient pyramids out the balcony glass doors from bed. Clean inside. Got beer and wine at rooftop bar, which was nice during the night light show

AustraliaI liked the restaurant but I would have liked options of Egyptian food on the menu.
We liked that the description of the hotel room we booked was 100% correct. We loved our room with a balcony overlooking the pyramids and sphinx. Breakfast was plentiful and served on the rooftop bar also with a beautiful view of the pyramids and sphinx.

GermanyThe room was like a bunker. The window faces a wall that's 10 cm away so there is no view or daylight coming from outside.
Amazing view of the pyramids from the rooftop, delicious breakfast and free pickup from the airport if booking two nights or more.

GermanyThere’s no better view of the Pyramids than from this hotel (and perhaps its direct neighbor). Sitting on the rooftop for breakfast or enjoying an afternoon coffee with a direct view of the Pyramids and Sphinx is absolutely breathtaking. Our rooms (we had a room with direct view to the Pyramids) were clean, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast—served in traditional Egyptian style—was delicious. If you're looking for a hotel close to the Pyramids, here you are in the first row. I would definitely book again!

RomaniaIt wasn’t clean enough for my standard but you can survive :) my suite has a very small window and in front of it was other building (very very close) so no fresh air and a smell of wet…if possible, book a room with balcony.
The view is really wonderful and the stuff very kind. I had a pleasant stay and I ll choose again this accommodation. I appreciate they picked me up from the airport (at 5 am) for free as I booked 2 nights

KenyaBe prepared for a 2 or 3 level walk-up depending on where your room is. Bathroom didn't drain very well. Ensure you book a room with natural lighting/window/balcony otherwise some rooms have no windows.
Location is excellent, right opposite the Pyramids and just next to the entrance. Great views from the restaurant. Breakfast was good. Staff were attentive and polite. Room was clean and water provided daily.

JapanIt was not clear the emergency route in case of fire or hazardous situation. I was not aware of the absence of window in the room, which was maybe not a major issue (?), but it was not an expected situation. The neighborhood was moderately safe.
The hotel rooftop had an awesome view and good and safe food to eat, the staff was helpful and always available for support. The room was well equipped, nice beds, nice bathroom, very clean.

SwitzerlandBad quality pillows and strong noise from outside the building since the first hours of the morning
Located in front of the Pyramids access, the structure is clean, spacious, and has an amazing terrace facing the site. Having such a rich breakfast with that view is priceless. A mention to the stuff, who has opened the kitchen for me and my friends at 4am to prepare hot sandwiches. Sam is the best!!

SloveniaWe were at the back of the hotel and the standard of cleaning there seems to be lower than in the main building.
The view from the terrace is amazing so take enough time to enjoy your breakfast or drinks there. Beds were very comfortable and despite having no view the room was spacious enough to feel very comfortable.

United StatesFor a two-day stay in Giza before joining a tour group in Cairo to see much more of Egypt, I chose this hotel and this specific top floor room (114) for the view of the Sphinx and the pyramids of the Giza Plateau. The view from the room's veranda is superb, as good as it gets in Giza, right across from the entrance to Sound & Light, the Sphinx totally unobstructed. Else, the hotel is tired and the room's furnishings minimal. The veranda door is shot; it took herculean strength to open and close it. The shower head was falling apart, and showering flooded the bathroom floor, whose drain was across from the shower. Okay, so the room was a little rustic, but it was indeed clean, bed was comfy, and the VIEW was great. Bonus: the breakfast, served by the very jovial Ali Baba, was terrific for such a small boutique budget hotel. Falafel & beans, egg, meats, cheese, breads, great coffee, more than you could eat; the plates kept coming while I was photographing sunrise.

New ZealandNoise from outside and hotel corridor, but was expected in that location. Balcony door was hard to close and open. Shower area gets quite wet as doors don’t seal properly, shower head wouldn’t attach or stay connected so had to hold it.

New ZealandOur airport transfer was not waiting for us when we arrived, it took some time to be able to get a hold of anyone and when we did it still took them awhile to pick us up. We were harassed by other drivers while we waited which wasn’t a great 1st impression and experience
The view was the highlight of this place. The view of the 3 pyramids and Sphinx from the rooftop was amazing! Unfortunately from the room balcony I could not see the Sphinx (but the pyramids could be seen), I had messaged prior asking what floor my room would be on as I wanted to ensure I had a great room view for my birthday trip and was advised I had “the best room” but our room was on the 1st floor, as other reviews mentioned, it wasn’t very clean, the sheets had hair on them. The rooms on the other floors appeared to be nicer. However the aircon worked well (I did look like there was some mould in the unit though) The location was good, lovely rooftop restaurant next door, pizza hutt 1 min walk along the street. Alibaba at breakfast was super friendly and lovely. They provided all the drinking water needed which was good. The shower pressure and temp was good. We didn’t come to Giza to hang out at the hotel, we had tours etc booked, we picked this place for the amazing views for when we were there, to see the pyramids in every light and were very happy with that.

United StatesThe noise from other guests, especially children playing in the hallways, woke us up early. With jet lag, this made it difficult for us to rest properly.
The view of the Pyramids was amazing, and the breakfast area had a fantastic view of both the Sphinx and the Pyramids. The restaurant staff were very polite and helpful, making the breakfast experience even more enjoyable
