We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

I keep renewing my rent at this place because it is clean and elegant, with high standards, and has a very helpful and supportive admin team. In addition to its prime location near the great pyramids of Egypt, it has easy walking distance access to the world of Cairo and Giza . In addition to private taxi operators like Uber, you can use public transportation. For example, from one side of the street, you can reach by Microbus to the Munib Metro metro station, which has access to all of CAIRO's metro stations. From the other side, you can access the King Faisal bus station, which literarily takes you to every spot in Giza and Cairo. This hotel is where you can rid horses and camels 300 meters away and get the amazing Fargaly juice and ice cream, as well as the Crazy Koshari, just down the stairs :)

AustraliaSome of the staff were incompetent and unable to communicate with us. A little bit disorganised. Did not communicate regarding the shower and they need to turn a button on to get hot water. The manager was not available. Miscommunication regarding costs- told we paid in full and then communicated after that we needed to pay more.
Proximity to the pyramids.

United KingdomCheck in was slow, and asked to pay with cash when we were not prepared. The property says pay by card accepted, so to hear at 1:30 am that card is not accepted is painful. After turning on the card machine, it was accepted. Breakfast was not amazing- had to serve ourselves tea and coffee one day. Sometimes it felt like we were being overly monitored by staff when unneeded and not at all monitored when needed. The rooms didn’t feel safe- the window was unsecured and the safe did not lock properly. The bed was laden with hairs, alongside the bathroom and even the cups for breakfast. Asked for an iron and never received one.
Nice location a short walk away from the pyramids. Staff are friendly, view of the pyramids is amazing to wake up to. Bed is super comfortable and there are plenty of places to store stuff.

Turkey-I made a late check in(by noticing before) but when i arrived i could not achieve to enter to the hotel, as the access to the hotel is complicated. there is an elevator with key, and no stairs to go to the door. there were nobody and no answer to phone call or messages. i had to ask people in the street to help me find them. and i had to wait around. it was not a good experience at all. -have no expectation for the breakfast.
+the young stuff were very friendly and helpful. +the room facilities were new and clean. +the terrace with pyramid view was good. +location is good for pyramids visit.

AustraliaNobody came to clean room or replace towels Breakfast starts at 8am. That doesn't mean you cook the omelettes at 8 then serve them stone cold when I arrived at 8:10. If you don't like "poor" reviews, stop playing on you phones, grab a mop and bucket and clean rooms and replace the towels. Do Not!! Ring my guest and ask them why I have left the review that I did. Ring again and I will fill the rest of this page with why not to stay here. I was trying only to write positive things about the very nice manager. It's your choice
The picture taken through the rooms window shows the pyramids. I wasn't expecting it to be true. But it was and looking from the roof was outstanding. The manager couldn't have been more helpful, he even came with me to the pharmacy to interpret for me.

United StatesPower outage all night, dirty floors in the room, missed breakfast, uninterested staff. There is a manager who is pretty attentive but then two young boys who are probably underpaid and could care less. This is a common labor setup in Egypt. Dealing with the boys is slow and cumbersome. Going outside on the street was not really enjoyable as a solo foreigner woman, but I was warned about Giza before. The power outages I know are not really the property’s fault but it’s strange how so many places don’t have backup power in Cairo/Giza. In a record heat wave, a power outage becomes a health and safety hazard.
Proximity to pyramids, great tv stations, great bathroom, ability to order food to room and relatively easy pickup for taxis, although the gps sends them past the place every time and they have to reverse.

United StatesThe beds are extremely hard and the hotel area is very sketchy. Entrance to the hotel is not welcoming at all, we were shocked when our ride dropped us off, it was like walking into a dungeon.
The staff try their best to accommodate our needs. They were friendly and very welcoming. Area of improvement: Personal hygiene their body odor so bad the whole reception area and elevator smells so bad! Breakfast was nice, the table setup right before we got there, super nice touch!

CanadaSurprise additional charges. When we arrived we were charged about 14-15% for “commissionable charges”. On booking it does say extra fees and charges may apply. Also when we asked for a receipt they said they don’t provide receipts.

South KoreaI heard Giza is located in slum area. If you really want to see pyramids in a room, you'd better choose this hotel.(This is good one with good view. But view is just view.) If not, I would recommend future guests that'get a hotel downtown' and take uber(really cheap) to come Giza. Additionally, wifi is not available. I think 'never'. Someone told me that there is not underground cable network so it would be better wifi in cairo except very expensive place.
Spacious and kind staff Good breakfast(not great). Really close to pyramids entrance, less 10min.

United StatesThe bath needs some updating with plumbing. Towels were rough and old, very unappealing. I absolutely hated the towels. I almost wanted to go and purchase new towels for the hotel. I asked for an iron and it was a very outdated old and heavy iron with a burnt surface stain at the base and it didn't heat up well. Then, we were asked to give the iron back as it was the only iron available. Disappointing. The breakfast was okay, basic. The owner should purchase a few decent irons, get pleasant, new, and good quality towels. Also, the floor mat in the bathroom is not appropriate for a bath, it's' a sand mat. A decent mat and just small details would raise quality of stay experience.
The staff really made our stay great...many thanks to Omar and Farook! These two staff members are one of the best people we've met. They were very pleasant and helpful. They are hard workers and go out of their way to ensure you are happy. I would go back just to say hello to these two wonderful employees. The rooftop had a nice view of the pyramids. Overall, you get what you pay for. If you're looking for a modest stay, then the price is right, and the staff is very helpful and so very kind.

NetherlandsIt’s on a busy street and sound isolation is not well. Staff was also noisy right outside the room after midnight. Airport transfer, tours and food were much more expensive compared to outside/Uber. Rooftop was not very clean and cosy. Room service did not visit the room the first day. There was a broken plug in the room. It is not a hotel, but an apartment with one floor reserved for the property.
View was okay - if you choose not to see the buildings across the street. A/C and fridge worked well.

AustraliaThe location was not good for me, I could not get anywhere, crossing the road was dangerous however the hotel manager took me on a walk which was very kind. I felt very isolated and stayed in my room. until I was picked up for my tour the next day. I guess I picked the wrong hotel for a single women travelling by herself
The staff and the room was lovely

MalaysiaThe room was way too noisy. I already read about it and was prepared with ear plugs, however given that it is also Ramadan and things come alive later at night, I was not really able to get good rest while I was there. Breakfast was just OK. Perhaps throw in an orange or a fruit?
The rooftop view, the smart switches and bathtub in the toilet. The rooms were comfortable and it was really convenient to get to the Pyramids. The team was very warm and welcoming and even invited me to have iftar with them.
