We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

India- Cleanliness - really dirty rooms with hair on floor and dirty linen sheets - communication - noone was responding when we tried to contact before arrival - breakfast spread - not much available - nothing much in food for vegetarians even though Egyptian food has in general lot of vegetarian choices
View and location close to pyramids of Giza. Though if you are looking to visit downtown Cairo, this is not the right location and it will take atleast an hour to reach in traffic to Cairo city. This location is perfect for visiting Giza pyramids and Saqqara pyramids.

United KingdomNothing!
Location - million dollars view, priceless, precious. I could sit in the roof top all day and night watching the pyramids view with sphinx. Their location is a gem. It is the real Egypt. This where you want to be to feel how it is to be among the people of Cairo with the great view. Staff - they are their for your your comfort and they look after you so well. Special mention to staff Mr. Walaly,l Ahmed, Mr. Sahir and Ms Sandy and the manager at the roof top. They made me feel my home away from home. They teated me like their own family and friend and I am sure they look after their guests very well. Hotel and room - what can I say, you can view pyramids with Sphinx from the room and this is awesome. I loved the lively environment of the place and surroundings. Light and sound show from roof top was amazing. I would come and stay in this hotel anytime. This place is magical, it has positive vibes and it makes you feel better.

AustraliaOur room (201) was in need of maintenance. Entrance door was very hard to unlock, bathroom light faulty, filthy minibar fridge and empty- no water as promised. Curtains not hung properly & torn, seating and small table heavily stained, room smelled of old tobacco smoke, extractor fan in bathroom fell from ceiling and left dangling by wires when trying to turn on, the sliding window/door to the balcony had been heavily damaged and did not close or lock for security, very noisy outside in street at all hours, people, horses, dogs, carts, cars n buses. Filthy streets and buildings outside and horses n camels for pyramid visitors kept behind hotel complex and stank big time! No fresh air in the area around the hotel. Minimal standards (cleanliness & security) regardless of low cost, were not met and which are very important for visitors in a city like Cairo.
Rooftop view of pyramids is fantastic. Staff were always friendly but seemed challenged at times perhaps because of minimal hospitality experience. Single beds were king size and very comfortable.

United KingdomI came in expecting a simple hotel, but this place fails at even the basics. The hotel supposedly has a 4 star rating. This is frankly a joke. If I'm being generous it may scrape 2 stars on a good day. It does have a good view from the roof top restaurant, but this is the only redeeming feature. We arrived after dark on our first night and were accompanied to our room. We had paid for an 'upgraded' room to include a view of the pyramids. When opening the curtains in day light there was no such view. I queried this at the front desk that morning and they advised it was 'a mistake' and agreed to move us to our correct room. We have not been offered a refund for the amount we were overcharged for the inferior room that night. I also asked for the WiFi code. This was provided me but only after the receptionist gave me the hard sell on one of their tours, which was over-priced compared to those offered by other firms. They were very insistent it was simply not possible to see the pyramids on foot. We ignored them, not wanting to spend too much of our holiday subjected to someone elses timescales. We had a lovely day at the pyramids, on foot and it was perfectly manageable (so not impossible at all). The WiFi (which is what I really did need) did not work at all in either our original room or our new room. This is contrary to the signage in their reception and on booking.com, where I booked this hotel. I could connect to the WiFi in their reception area and roof top, buy it was WiFi in name only as there was no Internet connection. We were not the only guests having this issue, over our stay we saw several others having the same issues connecting. A few years ago WiFi was seen as a bit of a luxury, whereas nowadays it is absolutely essential. The result of us not being able to access the Internet at our hotel was us being unable to book into our flights and finalise the tours we had arranged.

Friendly and helpful. Security was excellent the staff could not be more helpful. Delicious food on deck with a grand view of pyrimads. The views were awesome. Mohamed worked afternoons, took me to hairdressers twice. Could not be more happy with service. We were there total 5 nights and think Giza is far better position to be than in Cairo city

AustraliaThe place is very dirty. I reserved 2 rooms but the first night they put us all in one. The room was filthy; hairs everywhere, rubbish, dirt, you name it. The next day they changed us to another room which were a little cleaner but not very clean either. What a shame to have such a lovely terrace with the Pyramids view and to let the place go like that. The terrace was dirty every single day we were there also.
The location is superbe. The view of the pyramids was incredible every morning in the terrace.

Staff are friendly but cleanliness wise I csnt give 10/10. Upstairs restaurant need proper table glass cleaning and as u can see the dust and stain marks even on the menu card.

SwitzerlandWi fi connection did not work at all. It almost ruined the stay for us. we could not plan our time well due to unavailability of internet. I had to go sometimes to the lobby to get online. Another problem was the bathroom light, it kept switching off/on automatically. Very limited options in breakfast too. Some more items could be added, especially for children. Airport drop-off for USD25 (EGP 500) was expensive, that too with an old car.
The view from our room and the roof top restaurant of the Pyramids. Hotle is right next to the Spinx. Hotel staff were helpful and welcoming.

PolandWiFi was sometimes weak in the rooms. But in the restaurant and the lobby it was working much better.
This hotel offers you best value for your money. View from the rooftop restaurant is unreal! You could eat a breakfast, drink some tea or have shisha at the front of the Sphinx and the Pyramids. People working in Hayat Pyramids View are so kind and helpful. Especially Mr Ahmed and the manager from the restaurant (my greetings also for Samir, Ashur, Mahmood and the rest of the team). For ex, after i had small accident during exploration of ruins, they provided me with a cream for my swollen feet. Don't believe the people that are saying that the breakfast is uneatable. Actually is verry nice - you will have a good variety of food.

What can I say except that my family and I were greeted by the best staff. They treated us like family. Especially Mr. Mohamed. He went above and beyond to help with all our requests and was to deliver! The location is perfect for visiting the pyramids. We were blown away by the rooftop view 😍. I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Egypt and also highly recommend the guided tours. Worth every penny and my whole family was so pleased.

GermanyI really wanted to like this hotel as not only the view is amazing but also the staff is super friendly and kind but sadly I cannot recommend this hotel. We ate at their restaurant as we did not want to go out as two western female travelers by ourselves. Unfortunately after our dinner (fries) we both got food poisoning in the night after. Thankfully we only stayed one night but I would be very careful if you have a Western stomach. Tbh the kitchen of the restaurant does not look very clean (as well as our bathroom was gross). I know I cannot compare this to a Western standard of cleaness but still it would be nice if we were able to eat something without getting as sick as we were.
