Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe pyramid view rooms have been compromised by a neighbouring building and the hotel need to update their website to reflect this, other than that it is all about realistic expectations.
This is the closest you can get to stay for views of the pyramids. It is a family run hotel with very friendly staff where nothing is too much trouble. It is not the Hilton, it is a small 2 star hotel with basic facilities, what it is though is a very well run family hotel with exceptional views from the roof terrace.

AustraliaWifi is not good and only worked in the Lobby. The bathroom in room 303 needs updating, water pressure is weak. In the early morning you can hear the dragging of tables and chairs on the roof level. The food is ok, breakfast needs work. Egyptian food menu was better. I left a day early due to a family emergency and Jamal didn't offer a refund. Booked his driver to take me to the Airport, paid the driver and then was called back to pay Jamal for the use of his car. Not a good way to end my trip.
The view was exceptional. Beds were comfortable. Staff were courteous. Jamal was professional and provided us with a courtesy Beveridge on arrival. Jamal is great salesman and tried to sell his tours, ensure you do some research and negotiate the price. Staff did not actively ask for tips but were expecting it. Ahmad the tour guide is fantastic, full of knowledge. Tamer is polite and expert driver. Dunya had a smile on her face. Sabir the Chef actively made us feel welcome.

United Arab EmiratesI hope they will lessen the charge of their tour package. Queen Sugar though is very sweet and very informative and we really like her.
The hotel has so many things they can possibly improved on. However i do not know how to fault any thing about the hotel because the people who work there give you their genuine service. You will feel loved and taken care of The strength of this hotel is its people, the next best thing is the location. I hope they will improve the foods on the top floor and i hope they will improve the cleaning too. Overall, in case i return, i will be happy to stay again in the same hotel.

United StatesWe really enjoyed staying in this place for a few nights, away from the noise of downtown Cairo, and being eye-to-eye with the Sphinx. The room.was outstanding, super-clean, with comfortable, modern interior design, and spacious enough for your morning yoga. They have a good list of possible tours, and arranged personal driver for us to visit some places further south we wanted to see. Big thanks to "the old man" and the young lady who welcomed us. We felt true hospitality here. Also many thanks ton Mr. Sabir, who runs the restaurant upstairs. Besides good pizza and pasta, the real down-to-earth Egyptian dishes, like veggie stews with or without meat is what I would come back for any time.

South AfricaThe staff are very insistent on booking with their tour guides, and it becomes difficult to say no. This is discussed before you are given access to your room. While the tour (Giza, Memphis, Saqqara) was good, the driver was an hour late which was frustrating and unprofessional, the tour felt very rushed and you miss out on some important sites such as the serapeum. We specifically requested an early tour (07:00) to beat the heat but this was apparently not available. The tour started around 10:00; it should have started at 09:00. You’re also taken to a papyrus shop and a perfume shop with “no pressure” to buy, but there is pressure. I recommend doing your own research and exploring the city and sites on your own with Uber. There are some maintenance issues that need tending to- shower heads need replacing, and one of the rooms we were given had a hole in the bathroom ceiling with the extractor fan hanging out. To their credit, the staff moved us very quickly on request. While beyond the control of the hotel, you are hit with a barrage of heckling as soon as you walk outside, with the worst being the carriage drivers. The horses are in terrible condition with no regard for their welfare, they’re hit constantly, and are parked right outside the hotel so it’s impossible to escape this.
The location is great to visit the pyramids as it is right across the road from the gate. There is a gorgeous view of the sphinx and pyramids from the terrace on the roof. We had a delicious breakfast every morning, including Egyptian food which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were gracious enough to let us check in very early as we arrived on the red eye.

SpainUnfortunately the area is very poor which resulted in being surrounded by dirt, wild animals, buildings left unfinished or destroyed. Thankfully we arrived with moved around with either uber or our guide, but otherwise I strongly discourage moving around by yourself. The hotel is not well maintained, sand and dirt is everywhere. Although the room seemed cleaned it looked dirty and dusty. We found stain on bed linen and hair on "unused" towels.
The location is impeccable! From our room we could see the Pyramids, but otherwise you could go to the roof terrace and enjoy it from there too. The room was spacious and we had two big beds. All staff was very friendly and helpful.

Ahmed the staff was very interested in make us happy, he took care of us, upgraded the room (air cond didn’t work), provided good deals tour, good recommendations, helped once we got a bit food poison. Once you go, ask for Ahmed or Sheriff, you will be in good hands. Excellent view from roof to pyramids.

Mohammad and the staff were extremely helpful in arranging our day tour to the Pyramids, including things to be aware of. They arrested our concerns and advised the best things to do in the time we were there. The view from the roof top restaurant was worth the price of admission by itself! Robert

United KingdomThere wasn't nothing I really didn't dislike. The hotel was going through renovation so we came during that period where fresh paint was being applied so the stench of that was strong but it's something that can't be avoided other than putting guests on other floors to avoid that. For our one night stay, this hotel was ideal General feedback/suggestions for the hotel for general improvement: 1. Longer cords for the room kettle 2. More plug points/maybe a USB style plug point - hard to find the plug areas 3. Bathroom doors need to have door locks 4. Bathroom door need to be longer, the doors were visibly short/ avoid opaque doors 5. Rooms with the window view of the pyramids - Outdoor windows need to be cleaned more often
Customer service was A**. We received top notch service from the staff but particularly the owner Jamal was exceptional. He was honest, friendly and courteous. He helped accommodate our request for out last minute sightseeing. We was in Cairo for a day only so this hotel was ideal with a very big group and the team there did well to meet our needs for the night. We did a tour on the river nile and then a day tour for Cairo for the pyramids. We got a feisty, confident and wonderful tour guide who took us around Cairo - SUGAR QUEEN. Do check her out. If you are a muslim traveller, this is a good place to go to. There is KFC/Pizza hut on the corner for fussy eaters. The roof top area of the hotel was a A** for view. You got an exceptional view of the pyramids. The breakfast was very good and the hotel gave us welcoming drinks at the roof top. I can't express my gratitude enough for Jamal and the team. A service with a smile.

ItalyThe view from the rooms, the conditioning noise.
The hotel is 200 metres from the piramids and the view from the resturant / roof is fantastic. The view from the rooms is unfortunatelly really bad because you have a wall in front of you and the air conditioning is noisy. The rooms are clean and spacious but at the first floor are noisy because of the reception activity. The staff is kind and helpfull, the services like guides and tours are professional and expensive (write down what is included and what is NOT). The resturant is clean and is possible to eat salade without any healt problem, there is enough variety of food and I would suggest to add koshari and moussaka to the menu. The resturant staff is professional and friendly (Ziad and Sandy are really fantastic and always ready to help the customers in a kind way).
